It is important to note that dry needling is not the same as acupuncture. Use similar tools, but that's where the similarities end. Dry needling is performed by different professionals with different training. Acupuncture is based on Eastern medicine, while dry needling has its roots in Western medicine and the evaluation of pain patterns, posture, restricted mobility, functional and orthopedic tests.
