Do you add beets to your salads 🥗 ?

5 reasons why you should add beetroot to your diet:

1. They contain nitrites - increasing nitric oxide in our blood that helps our blood vessels expand —> increasing blood flow + reducing blood pressure 🩸 .

2. They are rich in betalains, which can help fight inflammation in the body 🥊.

3. They contain potassium - about 9% of the recommended daily amount in 100 g of beetroot. Potassium deficiency can cause fatigue, weakness and digestive issues 😪 .

4. They keep our bones healthy with magnesium (6% of the recommended daily amount) + copper + folate 💪🏼 .

5. They keep our liver healthy by increasing the amount of detoxifying enzymes🫧.
