DNS – 2nd Ironman

It’s been a week since my attempt at completing my second Ironman, and unfortunately, I didn’t make it. The course was brutal, with a total elevation gain of 2,700 m. All those back-and-forth rides (4hours) on Hudayriat Bridge during training just couldn’t prepare me for the relentless hills of Leeds.

I managed to finish the bike course, but missed the cutoff by 15 minutes. I still had the legs to run the marathon, as I’d conserved energy on the bike, but the rules are the rules.

This was my first-ever DNF in any marathon or triathlon, and it was especially hard to accept with my family and friends there supporting me.

Still, it’s time to look ahead. I’ll be back—stronger, sharper, and more focused than ever.

Done and dusted—Challenge Sir Baniyas Island was another unforgettable experience.

Just days before the race, I was hit with chicken pox, fever, and relentless headaches… but by God’s grace, I made it to the start line—and the finish.

Grateful to have conquered the powerful ocean waves, endured the scorching heat, tackled the tough climbs on the bike course, and pushed through two leg cramps on the run.
