Breast surgery is one of the most popular requests in my clinic, so I often receive questions from patients about it. It’s time to answer some of them.

How long does recovery take after breast surgery?
Recovery time will vary depending on the type of breast surgery you have. In general, patients can expect to take about a week or two off work to recover. Strenuous activity should be avoided for a month after surgery.

Will breast surgery leave scars?
All surgical procedures will result in some scarring, but the extent of scarring will depend on the type of breast surgery you have. Over time, scars will fade and become less noticeable.

Will I lose sensation in my breasts after surgery?
It's possible to experience temporary numbness or loss of sensation in the breasts after surgery, but this typically resolves within a few weeks or months.

Myth! The truth is that plastic surgery is a personal choice that helps many individuals feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin AND most importantly it helps people to initiate a healthier lifestyle.

Plastic surgery looks obviously fake or overdone.
Myth!. When performed by a skilled surgeon using advanced techniques, plastic surgery enhances a patient's body or face in a natural and youthful looking way .

Only celebrities and the wealthy get plastic surgery.
Myth! Plastic surgery is more accessible and affordable than ever before, with a range of options at every price point. But it’s important to find a board certified consultant.
