🧡✨ October is ADHD Awareness Month ✨🧡

ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is often misunderstood as just being “hyper” or “easily distracted.” But the truth is, ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects focus, organization, emotional regulation, and everyday life in different ways.

💡 What we need to remember:
✅ ADHD is real – it’s not laziness or bad behavior.
✅ Every person with ADHD experiences it differently.
✅ With understanding, compassion, and support, individuals with ADHD can thrive and showcase their unique strengths.

Let’s replace judgment with acceptance. 🧡
Let’s raise awareness, break the stigma, and create a world where people with ADHD are understood, supported, and celebrated for who they are.

Just to let it all out because the issue angers me...

Parents of children with autism already carry so much on their shoulders. They go through navigating therapies, advocating in schools, and making sure their children are loved and understood. The LAST thing we need is BLAME. 😠

Let’s set the record straight: autism is NOT caused by vaccines. It is NOT caused by paracetamol/acetaminophen. Most importantly, it is NOT caused by bad parenting.

Autism is a complex neurodevelopmental condition with no single cause. Spreading false blame only adds unnecessary guilt and stigma to families who are already doing their best. What our children truly need is not judgment, but acceptance, support, and recognition of their strengths and potential.

When we stop looking for someone to blame and start focusing on understanding, we open the door to a more inclusive and compassionate world, for our children and for every family. We greatly appreciate those individuals who give us, especially Lyle, the opportunity to be heard, seen, and loved. 💖

Autism has no single cause, and it is not a disease that needs curing. Instead of searching for a “fix,” what truly matters is acceptance, understanding, and unconditional love. When we embrace our loved ones with autism, we begin to see their strengths, their unique capabilities, and their true potential. They are so much more than a diagnosis.

Thank you for standing up for truth, facts, science, and medicine!

And, there is nothing wrong either being neurodiverse!

Today’s White House event on autism was filled with dangerous claims and misleading information that sends a confusing message to parents and expecting parents and does a disservice to autistic individuals.

We know autism is complex, highly variable and increasingly linked to genetics. Individualized plans, often involving a combination of developmental, behavioral, educational and social-relational strategies, can help improve outcomes that are meaningful to individuals and families. We also need and welcome additional investments in federally funded research to better support families of autistic children.

Families who have questions about their child’s medications, autism care plans or other health care should consult with their pediatrician or health care provider.
