Tina struggles with body image and wants to fit in with her college roomates who are all thin and much focused on healthy eating.
As a result Tina starts restricting her meals and eating only salads for lunch and dinner. Being part of this group makes her feel good about herself. However, Tina doesn’t see any physical results of her attempts to lose weight partly because she’s often eating her comfort foods in secret.
Why? Well she's always hungry for one, and also to help her cope with feeling not as good as her friends who seem to do just fine on salads.

Emotional eating is a tapestry woven with emotions, habits, and individuality. Discover the unique connection between your emotions and eating habits.
One person might reach out for a packet of salted chips to help deal with stress, while another person might reach out for some chocolate chip cookies. Individual eating patterns can reveal important clues. Emotional Eating is mostly associated with – high fat high sugar foods. However, some people to cope with tough emotions like anger by restricting and depriving themselves with super healthy foods

Food becomes a method of control when life becomes overwhelming. Emotional Eating comes in all shapes and sizes – just like the people who struggle with this issue. Emotional Eating also disconnects us from our values – we get so stuck in the urgent need to satisfy our cravings and eliminate distress that we can’t look beyond the present moment. When we eat based on our emotions, we ignore other parts of our lives
