🧘‍♀️ Boost Your Liver Health with Yoga!
Did you know that practicing certain yoga poses can help detoxify and strengthen your liver? Your liver works hard every day to filter toxins, regulate metabolism, and support digestion, so give it some love with yoga!
Here are some of the poses we practised in the Friday class:
- Seated Twist (Ardha Matsyendrasana) – Stimulates liver function and supports detox
- Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana) – Enhances circulation and improves liver function.
- Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana) – A gentle backbend that helps in liver stimulation.
- Downward Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana) – Encourages blood flow and rejuvenation.
- Alternate Nostril Breathing (Anulom Vilom) and Deep Relaxation- Helps manage stress, which is also crucial for liver health!

🌞 Just 10–15 minutes a day can help improve digestion, reduce inflammation, and support natural detox processes.

On International Yoga Day, we completed our 21-day Yoga Series.
The 21st and final day of our journey was spent on reflection. Participants shared their feedback on their experiences—most spoke about the mental and emotional clarity gained, enhanced physical awareness, planning of sessions, and style of teaching.
A common takeaway was a noticeable boost in energy after class that lasted throughout the day.
Each session offered an integrated practice that included warm-ups, Sun Salutations, yoga asanas, pranayama, and deep relaxation. Of all the elements, stretches and pranayamas were group favorites. Performing them on a daily basis over 21 days, everyone felt confident enough to practice them on their own.
Moon Salutations provided a rejuvenating spin on sessions for hamstrings and hips.
Though a virtual class, yogis were amazed at how present and in-tune they felt, as if it were an in-person class. They appreciated the personal attention, reminders of alignment, and modifications even through the screen.
An increased consciousness provided yogis with a sense of having more time in their day. 30-minute tasks took only 10 minutes.
The structure and routine were appreciated. Of course, life happened—travel, sick kids, work meetings, laziness, celebrations—but everyone made an effort to show up on the mat, motivated by the way they felt after each class and the connection with other yogis.

I had the opportunity to guide elementary, middle, and high school swim teams at GEMS Dubai American Academy. While it's easy to blame this generation for spending too much time on screens, some kids wake up at 5:00 AM, show up for swim practice by 5:45, go to bed early, and fuel their bodies with healthy food. They’re focused, driven, and inspiring.

These young athletes embraced yoga—some with enthusiasm, others with curiosity—but they all showed up and gave it a try. I'm just grateful I could support them in stretching, relaxing, and finding balance amidst their intense training routines.

Teaching yoga continues to be one of the most fulfilling things I do!

Are you ready for a challenge? I am excited to announce a NEW series, “21 Days of Yoga.” It's said it takes 21 days to form a habit. We all know the benefits of yoga. Sometimes, all we need is a gentle push to begin. This is your invitation to join a holistic and empowering yoga journey designed for all levels.
Over the course of this program, we’ll explore:
Yoga Sutras (philosophy and foundations)
Strength-building exercises

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to teach at GEMS Dubai American Academy, where I guided around 600 + students in two weeks. It was heartwarming to see how naturally flexible and open-minded kindergarteners to third graders are.

I truly believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn yoga. It’s not just about flexibility—yoga empowers kids to manage their emotions, build self-awareness, and develop the ability to pause and respond thoughtfully instead of reacting impulsively. Imagine a world where children grow up equipped with these tools—how much more peaceful, compassionate, and resilient our future could be.

My goal with this initiative is to guide children and provide them with tools to navigate their emotions, helping them build the foundation for a successful and balanced life. Life will always present challenges, but when we learn to ride the waves with inner strength and mindfulness, we can maintain a healthy body and mind. All this while keeping it fun and enjoyable.

Let’s work together to raise a generation rooted in emotional strength, clarity, and wellness.

Yoga offers numerous benefits for kids, promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It enhances flexibility, balance, and coordination while improving posture and strength. Practicing yoga also helps children develop focus, concentration, and mindfulness, which can boost academic performance and emotional resilience. Additionally, it encourages relaxation, reduces stress, and fosters self-confidence. Through fun and engaging poses, yoga nurtures a sense of discipline, creativity, and overall well-being in children.

Not Selling, Just Telling: Try Yoga
It’s fascinating how yoga works. Many people practice yoga because it’s a low-impact exercise that isn’t too strenuous on the body. It focuses on improving flexibility and strength. Personally, the greatest benefit I’ve experienced from yoga is resilience. It strengthens your mental "muscle," equipping you to navigate through challenging situations with ease. Let's face it, each of us has been through challenging situations, no one is immune to them. Imagine you have something to fall back on that gives you the inner strength.
I was talking to a friend recently, and she mentioned something that really resonated with me: Where is mental health not a concern these days? That got me thinking. Yoga isn’t just an exercise for the body—it’s truly an exercise for the mind. We use physical movement to cultivate emotional strength and stability.
That’s why I believe everyone should practice yoga, no matter how busy life gets. Find the format that suits you, connect with an instructor you resonate with, and just start! Over time, with consistent practice, you’ll undoubtedly notice a significant improvement in your mental well-being.

Yoga is an ancient practice designed to cultivate control over the mind and body, offering far more than just physical exercise. Over the years, it has gained worldwide popularity, adapting to various cultures while preserving its essence. With increasing scientific research supporting its benefits, yoga continues to validate its timeless effectiveness.
