🚨The UN Human Rights High Commissioner Mr. Volker Türk urges the International Community to act decisively towards the conflict in and around Al Fasher and warns from a predictable escalation in Kordofan
from his speech on today's 38 Special Session of the UN Human Rights Council on the Situation in and around El Fasher, Sudan

"The international community has a clear duty to act.
-First, all States with influence need to take urgent, concrete action to ensure the protection of civilians in El Fasher and safe passage for those trying to leave.

States must press for the unimpeded flow of aid, and fund humanitarian programmes fully.

- Second, States need to make a concerted effort to hold to account all those responsible for violations of international humanitarian law and international human rights law in this conflict.

My staff are gathering evidence of violations that could be used in legal proceedings. We have deployed several missions to areas where civilians are fleeing, and we are sending more.

The International Criminal Court has indicated that it is following the situation closely.

🚨All those involved in this conflict should know: We are watching you, and justice must prevail.🚨

Mr. President,

-Third, the international community needs to take action against the individuals and companies that are fueling and profiting from this war.

Sudan is caught up in a proxy battle for its natural resources and commodities. Numerous countries in the region and beyond are involved.

-Fourth, I urge everyone with influence to stand up for international law.

That means advocating for an urgent referral by the Security Council of the situation in the entire country to the International Criminal Court.

And it means making the arms embargo a reality, not only in Darfur, but across the whole country."

🚨 مقتطف من كلمة المفوض السامي لمجلس حقوق الإنسان التابع للأمم المتحدة، السيد فولكر ترك بالمؤتمر الثامن و الثلاثين حول الأزمة بالسودان و أحداث دارفور وما حولها يحث فيه المجتمع الدولي بالتحرك الفوري لإنهاء الصراع بالسودان و يحذر فيه من توسع متوقع للصراع إلى ولاية كردفان.

"- أولاً، يجب على جميع الدول ذات النفوذ اتخاذ إجراءات عاجلة وملموسة لضمان حماية المدنيين في الفاشر وتوفير ممر آمن لمن يحاولون المغادرة. يجب على الدول الضغط من أجل تدفق المساعدات دون عوائق، وتمويل البرامج الإنسانية بشكل كامل.

-ثانياً، يجب على الدول بذل جهد مشترك لمحاسبة جميع المسؤولين عن انتهاكات القانون الإنساني الدولي وقانون حقوق الإنسان الدولي في هذا الصراع. يقوم موظفي بجمع أدلة على الانتهاكات التي يمكن استخدامها في الإجراءات القانونية. لقد نشرنا عدة بعثات إلى المناطق التي يفر إليها المدنيون، ونرسل المزيد.

🚨و أشارت المحكمة الجنائية الدولية إلى أنها تتابع الوضع عن كثب.
يجب على جميع المتورطين في هذا الصراع أن يعلموا: نحن نراقبكم، ويجب أن يسود العدل.🚨

-ثالثاً، يجب على المجتمع الدولي اتخاذ إجراءات ضد الأفراد والشركات التي تغذي هذه الحرب وتستفيد منها. السودان عالق في معركة بالوكالة من أجل موارده الطبيعية وسلعه حيث تشارك العديد من الدول في المنطقة وخارجها.

-رابعاً، أحث الجميع ذوي النفوذ على الدفاع عن القانون الدولي. وهذا يعني الدعوة إلى إحالة عاجلة من قبل مجلس الأمن للوضع في البلد بأكمله إلى المحكمة الجنائية الدولية. ويعني ذلك جعل حظر الأسلحة واقعاً، ليس فقط في دارفور، بل في جميع أنحاء البلاد."

: Statement of the ICC Office of the Prosecutor on the situation in El-Fasher, North Darfur

🚨The Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court expresses its profound alarm and deepest concern over recent reports emerging from El-Fasher about mass killings, r**es, and other crimes allegedly committed during the course of the Rapid Support Forces’ (RSF) attacks. These atrocities are part of a broader pattern of violence that has afflicted the entire Darfur region since April 2023. Such acts, if substantiated, may constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity under the Rome Statute.
The Office recalls that under UN Security Council Resolution 1593 (2005), the ICC has jurisdiction over crimes being committed in the ongoing conflict in Darfur. The Office is investigating crimes allegedly committed in Darfur since the outbreak of hostilities in April 2023. As reflected in the most recent Report to the UN Security Council, the Office is working intensively, including through repeated field deployments, deepened engagement with victims groups and civil society, and enhanced cooperation with national authorities and international organisations.
Within the ongoing investigation, the Office is taking immediate steps regarding the alleged crimes in El-Fasher to preserve and collect relevant evidence for its use in future prosecutions. The recent conviction by ICC judges of Janjaweed leader Mr Ali Muhammad Ali Abd-Al-Rahman (also known as Ali Kushayb) for similar crimes committed in Darfur in 2004 is a warning for all parties to the conflict in Darfur that there will be accountability for such atrocious crimes.
The Office calls upon all individuals and organisations engaged in the pursuit of justice and accountability to submit, through the secure OTP Link platform, any information or evidence related to recent and prior events in El-Fasher.

أعرب مكتب المدعي العام للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية عن بالغ قلقه و شدد على إنذاره إزاء التقارير الأخيرة الواردة من الفاشر بشأن عمليات القتل الجماعي والاغتصابات والجرائم الأخرى التي تم ارتكابها أثناء هجمات قوات الدعم السريع (RSF).

أضاف المكتب أن هذه الفظائع جزء من نمط أوسع من العنف الذي أصاب منطقة دارفور بأكملها منذ أبريل 2023 و أكّد المكتب على أن مثل هذه الأفعال، إذا ثبتت، قد تشكل جرائم حرب وجرائم ضد الإنسانية بموجب نظام روما الأساسي.
ذكر المكتب أيضا أنه و بموجب قرار مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة رقم 1593 (2005)، تتمتع المحكمة الجنائية الدولية باختصاص على الجرائم التي ترتكب في النزاع الجاري في دارفور. و يستمر المكتب بالتحقيق في الجرائم المزعومة و المرتكبة في دارفور منذ اندلاع الأعمال العدائية في أبريل 2023. كما إنعكس ذلك في التقرير الأخير المقدم إلى مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة، و لا زال يعمل المكتب بكثافة، بما يشمل ذلك من نشرات ميدانية متكررة، وتعزيز التعامل مع مجموعات الضحايا والمجتمع المدني، وتعزيز التعاون مع السلطات الوطنية والمنظمات الدولية.
في إطار التحقيق الجاري، يتخذ المكتب خطوات فورية بشأن الجرائم المرتكبة في الفاشر لحفظ وجمع الأدلة ذات الصلة لاستخدامها في الملاحقات القضائية المستقبلية.
الإدانة الأخيرة من قبل قضاة المحكمة الجنائية الدولية لزعيم الجنجويد علي محمد علي عبد الرحمن (المعروف أيضًا باسم علي كوشيب) بجرائم مشابهة ارتكبت في دارفور عام 2004 هي تحذير و تأكيد لجميع أطراف النزاع في دارفور بأن العدالة ناجزة و ستكون المحاسبة فورية على مثل هذه الجرائم الفظيعة.

🚨​The powerful “Islamists” project early initiated for massive ethnic cleansing and violence against Non-Arabs began in Sudan, fueled by discriminatory movements that heavily relied on enslavement.

This project ultimately triggered the 40-year South Sudanese war, resulting in massive killings, enormous displacement and the eventual secession of South Sudan and extensively continuing its agenda in Darfur (Al-Fasher) and Kordofan for the price of power control contuity with external blessings and support.
