After repairing coolant leak, It is best to do a coolant pressure test and then evaluate the temperature reading. This will make sure the thermostat is opening and the coolant is circulating properly in the system. If coolant bleeding or venting routine is required it is best to do then check the coolant level after the engine operating temperature is reached.

AC evaporator leak can be small but needs big procedure to replace. It often requires to remove the complete dashboard and center console just to access the AC evaporator.
If the cooling of your aircon is not sufficient and you always go for AC gas refill and no external leak found, then it can be evaporator leaking. Another sign is a foul smell like a moldy rag coming out of your AC vent.

Some helpful tips, before and while driving:

- Be aware if your car is parked outside exposed to the sun.
- Use sunshades in your windscreens and glass windows if you cannot avoid parking outside.
- Let your car cool down before you enter or touch anything inside.
- Open doors and windows first to let out the heat trapped inside the cabin.
- Expect extremely hot leather seats, steering wheels and gear shift k***s.
- Avoid driving at high RPM or pushing hard the accelerator pedal.
- Make sure the AC air recirculation button is switched on to avoid outside air coming in while driving.
- While driving be mindful of your temperature gauge, if it’s going up, drive slowly or stop somewhere safe. If the temperature is not going down, don’t wait for the overheat warning to appear, better switch off the engine.
- Consult a trusted mechanic about the condition of your car before you go for a long drive.

Replace the valve cover gasket of your engine when you see signs of leak in between. Sometimes the oil traces is caused by careless engine oil top up. But if the mileage of the car is more than 100000 kms better replace the gasket. Oil leak from valve covers can cause other problems if it goes down. If the belt get soak with oil it will make noise and eventually break. If the oil drips to the alternator it will be damage.
Consult a trusted mechanic if you see oil leak marks on top of your engine.

When you think your brake pads thickness are ok and they are not. The consequence is costly and could be deadly. Dont risk driving with a worn out brake pads. When you hear unusual noise while driving or while braking, like metal to metal scratching noise, that is an indication that your pads are extremely worn. Pull over somewhere safe and have a visual check if you are able to, if not then consult a trusted mechanic.
