Farah BPHS & EPHS Medical Refresher Courses for Afghans (MRCA) is a nonprofit organization whose sole mission is to reduce human suffering.

We respond to natural disasters, humanitarian emergencies and chronic poverty. We are non-sectarian and non-political. MRCA has been delivering life-saving healthcare in Afghanistan since 1993, establishing and operating health centres in partnership with the Afghan Ministry of Public Health (MoPH). Over the past 14 years, MRCA has worked in nine provinces (Kabul, Paktya, Logar, Wardak, Farah, Par

wan, Baghlan, Balkh and Kapisa). Since 2019, MRCA has partnered with the Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health to provide the basic package of health services (BPHS) and essential package of hospital services (EPHS) in Farah province. In Farah, MRCA/RI supports one provincial hospital, 64 health facilities, 511 health posts, 5 family health homes and a network of over 1,000 community health workers (CHWs) and health promoters. This account has been created to share information with communities in Farah about health services.

Medical Refresher Courses for Afghans (MRCA)

Since early February 2020, RI has deployed and run screening and surveillance teams at numerous border crossings between Iran and Farah province.

Medical Refresher Courses for Afghans (MRCA) is a nonprofit organization whose sole mission is to reduce human suffering. We respond to natural disasters, humanitarian emergencies and chronic poverty. We are non-sectarian and non-political. We partner with Afghanistan’s most vulnerable communities to relieve poverty, ensure well-being and advance dignity.
