Gerry and Jen Fahey are excited to come alongside Foursquare missionaries Chris and Laura Dakas to help with the empowering, gospel-advancing ministry at The Stephen Center in the mostly Muslim country of Albania. The Faheys met as kids at church and both grew up to eventually becoming involved in many ministries from the worship team to young adults groups and discipleship bible studies. In 2012 the Lord lead Gerry to serve in Albania for 6 months during his engagement to Jen. Now married, parents to a little boy named Gideon and another boy named Rowan due this October, the Faheys are ready to minister long-term to the people of Albania and its surrounding countries. The Stephen Center is a restaurant, bed and breakfast, and book store that employs Albanians in an unforgiving economy while exemplifying Christian values. It provides a nurturing space for bible studies and church services in a heavily Muslim region, as well as computer skills training for young women, single mothers, and many others with limited opportunities to make a living. In the beginning of 2015 the Dakas's also celebrated the grand opening of their New Life Rehabilitation Center for disabled children and young adults who would not otherwise have access to proper care or education. Inspired by Matthew 5:16, "In the same way let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven," Gerry and Jen Fahey will work hard to integrate with the Albanian culture while being doers of the word of Jesus. They are committed to serving the Lord in Albania and are planning to deploy in 2016.
