Team Keystone

Team Keystone 2 cars, 6 people, 10,000 miles, one amazing cause Hey, everyone!

We are Team Keystone, a group of Pennsylvanian adventurers and friends based in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. In July and August, we're driving 10,000 miles from London to Mongolia in two tiny, under-equipped cars (a 1999 Hyundai Atoz and a 2002 Nissan Micra) to raise some cash for the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Like our page to follow us through

the coming months as we prepare for this ridiculous journey to bring hope to PA kids and families in need!

Best of luck to all of the 2017 Mongol Rally teams! The next 6 or so weeks will be the best of your life - enjoy it, and follow these rules:

1. Always stop to help other teams stopped on the side of the road. Brixton Village People - Mongol Rally 2016 stopped to help us in England half an hour after we left Goodwood; you can stop, too.
2. Any problem can be solved with time or teamwork. Wait long enough and anything can be fixed - ask Mongol Rowley how that worked out for them.
3. There are mechanics, convenience stores, and gas stations in more places than you'd think.
4. Never walk to the gas crater.

(I was going to tag more teams in those hints, but screw it. Shout out to Team , 101 Damn-Nations - Mongol Rally 2016 Team, So Good It Yurts - Mongol Rally 2016, Him and Her, Team Jäger Battalion - Mongol Rally 2016, Back 2 Yak - Mongol Rally 2016, Grand Steppe Auto Mongol Rally 2016, Marley Safari Rally Team, Dutch Mongols, and literally everyone else. We miss you guys.)

TURN ON YOUR NOTIFICATIONS! WE'LL BE COMING AT YOU LIVE FROM THE FINISH LINE IN JUST A FEW HOURS! After a week of trial and tribulation in the deserts and steppe of Mongolia, we're back in Russia and approaching the finish. If you're still diligently watching the tracker, keep an eye on Ulan-Ude -- that's how you'll know we're almost there! We expect to arrive sometime around 10:00 PM GMT -5 (or East Coast time for all of you back in the States). Live stream is fully dependent on the reliability of data in that area, but hopefully won't be a problem.

Hey, everyone! Sorry for the lack of consistent updates -- internet access has been severely limited recently. We've made it through Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan since we last posted. We're now in Astana, Kazakhstan hanging out at a fantastic hotel before we head out for Mongolia. We plan to get to the Russian border tonight, then it will be a 2-3 days' drive to the western border of Mongolia.

You can see where we are all the time by following our tracker:

We'll post all of our photos and videos and stuff at the end of the rally!

Hi all! We're so sorry for the lack of recent updates...we haven't had adequate Internet access. But, we are safely through Iran and are actually almost out of Turkmenistan! This puts us right on schedule in our plan to reach Mongolia. We are all in high spirits despite the difficult-to-travel roads. Time is flying by with fun, teamwork, and awesome adventure!

We'll do our best to keep you updated as our journey progresses, but communication might be highly limited as we press on towards the finish line. Don't forget, though, you can track our progress virtually at the following link: https://share.delorme.com/teamkeystone

Joe giving the Pony Express a thorough repacking before heading the rest of the way across Turkey. We spent 5 hours overnight in line at the Turkey/Georgia border, then made it to Tbilisi, where we'll be staying for the next few days in order to recharge, get the cars looked at, and spend some time not moving for once.
