BIL Armenia is looking for motivated medical and dental students to take on leadership roles, represent Armenia internationally, and strengthen global collaboration. 🌍💡
We are opening applications for SCOPE department for the following positions:

🔹 TAM NM (TravelAndMed National Manager)
Leads the development of international exchanges for doctors within TravelAndMed, promotes TravelAndMed nationally, and strengthens Armenia’s presence in the global arena.
🔹 NODE (National Officer of Dental Education, IADS Delegate)
Oversees dental education projects, represents BIL Armenia in the International Association of Dental Students (IADS), and builds global networking opportunities for dental students.
🔹 LEO (Local Exchange Officer – Professional Exchanges)
Coordinates local logistics for professional exchanges, supports incoming & outgoing students, and works closely with hospitals and institutions.

During the last European Regional Meeting of IFMSA our president Dr Тигран Оганесян has spoken once again about the Armenian Genocide and called Medical Students' leaders of European Region to aim for mutual understanding, kindness and union for safer future for everyone.

📍On July 4–6, the 2nd International Scientific-Research Conference was held at Tbilisi State Medical University, organized by the Georgian Youth Health Association (GYHA).

🇦🇲 BIL Armenia was honored to participate as a partner organization, supporting youth-led scientific development and regional collaboration.

Over three inspiring days, around 150 students presented their research projects in oral and poster formats, showcasing months of dedicated work under the guidance of their scientific supervisors. 🔬🎓

🙏 Thank you to GYHA and Tbilisi State Medical University for this impactful event.

🇦🇲BIL Armenia-ն շնորհակալություն է հայտնում Հայկական բժշկական ասոցիացիային՝ վստահության և համագործակցության համար։ Մեզ համար մեծ պատիվ և եզակի հնարավորություն էր լինել EFMA 2025-ի կազմակերպչական թիմի մի մասը և նպաստել այս բարձր մակարդակի միջազգային ֆորումի հաջող իրականացմանը։

🌟Հատուկ շնորհակալություն՝ բժիշկ Հովհաննես Հովհաննիսյանին, ում առաջնորդության և մենթորության շնորհիվ հնարավոր դարձավ Հայաստանում ստեղծել նման հզոր հարթակ՝ կենտրոնացած գիտելիքի փոխանակման, բժշկական էթիկայի և բժիշկների ինքնակառավարման պաշտպանության վրա։

🇦🇲✨ EFMA 2025 in Yerevan

On June 25–27, the Armenian Medical Association organized the European Forum of Medical Associations (EFMA 2025), which brought together medical leaders from over 20 countries to discuss the most pressing issues in healthcare.

📌 The main topics of the forum included:
🔹 Self-governance of medical associations
🔹 Physician migration and challenges in healthcare workforce policy
🔹 Development of emergency medical care
🔹 Artificial intelligence in the context of the future of medicine

Opening remarks were delivered by RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Head of the WHO Armenia Office Siddhartha Sankar Datta, EFMA Secretary General Lea Vapne, and President of the Armenian Medical Association Hovhannes Hovhannisyan.
BIL Armenia was proud to take part in this initiative and to be a member of the organizing team.

Հունիսի 25-27-ը Հայկական բժշկական ասոցիացիան կազմակերպեց Բժշկական ասոցիացիաների Եվրոպական ֆորումը (EFMA 2025), որը մեկտեղեց ավելի քան 20 երկրի բժշկական առաջնորդների՝ քննարկելու առողջապահության ամենահրատապ խնդիրները։

🌟Introducing Our Third Speaker at the Upcoming SciTalks Event: Arkadi Sharkov. He will be presenting on “Regulatory Aspects of Harm Reduction Policies.”

With a strong foundation in macroeconomics and a Master’s in Public Policy from Maastricht University and the United Nations University, Arkadi Sharkov brings deep expertise in health budgeting, tax policy, and healthcare affordability.

Currently serving as an assistant professor and PhD candidate in Sofia, he also teaches social and health insurance and sits on the Advisory Board of the Bulgarian Medical Union. His impressive background includes advising the Bulgarian Minister of Health across three different governments.

Arkadi has conducted extensive cost-benefit analyses related to medicinal products and clinical pathways, making a significant impact on the optimization of public health budgets.

🌟Please welcome our our second speaker at the upcoming SciTalks event!!!! Lilit Hayrapetyan will explore “Abortion Law” offering a deep dive into one of today’s most complex and debated human rights issues.

Lilit Hayrapetyan is a practicing attorney specializing in international human rights law. She is the founder of the Intoto Center for Legal Studies and the co-founder and host of both the Intoto Legal Podcast and Podcast with Lilit. Since the early stages of her career, she has successfully combined legal practice with academic research, contributing to nearly a dozen research projects on fundamental rights.

Lilit Hayrapetyan is also a lecturer at the French University in Armenia, where she actively engages with students on topics at the core of contemporary legal challenges.

🌟Let us introduce you to our first speaker at the upcoming SciTalks Event: Dr. Arnold Vardanyan. He will delve into “Human Rights Protection Challenges in Armenia: Perspectives and Best Practices.”

Dr. Vardanyan holds a PhD in Law and a Master’s degree from the University of Edinburgh, UK. As a member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia, he is actively engaged in legal practice. He also lectures at the Faculty of Law of Yerevan State University and the Academy of Advocates of Armenia.

In addition to his academic and legal work, Dr. Vardanyan serves as an expert for various national and international organizations. His scholarly contributions have reached global audiences, with presentations delivered at esteemed institutions such as the University of Cambridge, the Max Planck Institute, the University of Zurich, and Lund University.
