Hoy, en el Día Internacional de la Lucha contra el Cáncer de Mama 🎗️ , queremos recordar algo que es uno de los pilares fundamentales de Oncoliq: la detección temprana. Es un propósito que guía nuestro trabajo día a día, y es la base sobre la que construimos nuestras soluciones.

El Dr. Javier Stigliano, Jefe de la Sección de Patología Mamaria del Hospital Posadas, nos recuerda que los controles regulares son fundamentales para la prevención. A partir de los 40 años, la mamografía anual es clave, y en algunos casos, tu médico podrá recomendar otros estudios.

Estamos trabajando para que con la tecnología de Oncoliq, la detección precoz sea aún más accesible y fácil, tomando una simple muestra de sangre.

Recuerda: priorizarte es un acto de amor propio. 🩷

En el Mes de concientización y detección del Cáncer de Mama, Oncoliq y el Hospital de Clínicas se unen para promover la detección precoz del cáncer de mama.

🎗️ Del 13 al 17 de octubre, todas las trabajadoras de la UBA podrán realizarse una evaluación mamaria, una mamografía, una consulta nutricional, y participar en el proyecto de investigación de Oncoliq, donde se tomará una pequeña muestra de sangre para su análisis.

Este análisis de sangre, desarrollado por Oncoliq, nos ayudará en el desarrollo de nuestra metodología para detectar señales de cáncer de mama antes de que los síntomas se manifiesten.

Why is early cancer detection so challenging? 🧬

Cancer begins with a single cell. A mutation in its DNA allows it to bypass the body’s natural defenses and divide without control. One cell alone is not a threat. But as these defective cells multiply, they form a tumor. Long before cancer can be seen or felt, it leaves molecular traces in the body. These biomarkers are the earliest signals that something is happening.

At Oncoliq, we work to identify those signals. Through our liquid biopsy, a simple sample of blood 🩸 can reveal microRNA biomarkers linked to cancer, making it possible to detect the disease much earlier, when it is most treatable.

For too many people, it still is. Where you live, your income, your education level, and whether you have insurance often decide if you ever get screened for cancer. Minorities and underserved communities face even bigger barriers. They’re less likely to be tested and more likely to receive a diagnosis when the disease is already advanced. That means tougher treatments, lower survival rates, and harder paths ahead.
