𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁: 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲-𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲

With glassfibre reinforced concrete components only 13 mm thick, Rieder offers a genuine alternative to traditional massive precast facades. The slender 3D elements save valuable raw materials, reduce material use, weight, transport requirements and ease the load on the supporting structure – without compromising stability or design.

The material allows for precise, geometrically complex facades. Thanks to its moisture-resistant structure and low susceptibility to soiling, durable, low-maintenance building envelopes are created. At the same time, factory pre-assembly and a carefully designed fixing system enable efficient on-site installation. The result: facades that combine the robustness of concrete with lightness, opening up entirely new design possibilities for architects.

𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.

The facade of the PREVIER in Hamburg’s HafenCity is shaped by a carefully coordinated composition of 2,645 vertical double-U profiles, 2,500 horizontal parapet elements and around 1,500 m² of large-format panels.

Realised in six bespoke shades of red, developed in close collaboration with the architects and client, the design draws inspiration from Hamburg’s Hanseatic brick heritage. Large-format panels and sculptural 3D elements combine architectural depth with long-lasting durability, offering reliable protection against wind and weather.

Different sandblasted finishes create a dynamic interplay of light, texture and tactility – giving the facade a strong and confident presence within its urban context.

𝗔 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗼.

Toronto’s appetite for authentic Italian cuisine continues to grow – reflected in the expansion of Eataly. With the opening of its second location at CF Sherway Gardens, southern flavours are celebrated at the highest level, from freshly made pasta to a wide range of delicacies.

Designed by Gensler, the facade is clad in terracotta-coloured concrete skin panels. Varied finishes and the slate and groove textures create a vibrant appearance, dynamic effects and a distinctive tactile experience.

𝗔 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

The Pope Francis Preparatory School in Chicopee accommodates 450 students, reflecting innovative teaching and learning models. The campus includes an auditorium, cafeteria, music room, administration offices, flexible classrooms, makerspaces, sports fields, gymnasiums and a research centre.

Great emphasis was placed on the quality of the learning environment – with access to natural daylight, high indoor air quality and low noise levels. Indoor and outdoor communal areas strengthen the sense of community and support engagement.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆.

This five-storey office building in Leeds features a striking curved form with stepped roof terraces. Custom-made U-shaped formparts create refined accents across the steel-and-glass façade, with more than 1,700 elements installed in the colour Sahara.

Designed by Sheppard Robson the building places strong emphasis on natural light, generous spatial quality and access to green spaces. Newly planted trees and integrated nesting boxes further support local biodiversity – fostering both environmental responsibility and a healthy, inspiring workplace.

𝗔 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

In the heart of Hebburn, the Paul Younger Energy Centre reflects the community’s strong commitment to sustainability. Commissioned by South Tyneside Council, the project represents a key milestone on the journey towards carbon-neutral operations by 2030.

The centre generates both electricity and heat, using natural gas as its primary source. Its exterior is clad in bespoke concrete skin panels, specially developed for the project. A combination of matt and sandblasted textures gives the facade a distinctive visual and tactile identity.

𝗔 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

This 45 × 22 metre sunken sports hall can be divided into three equal sections using electrically operated partition curtains, offering great flexibility. Additional gym rooms provide space for smaller groups, from yoga to karate.

The facade by Fuchs and Rudolph Architects combines light beige glass fibre reinforced concrete slats with blue and red powder-coated aluminium panels. Large glazed areas flood the interior with natural daylight.

Gravity, a live-work-play campus in Ohio’s capital, reflects the creative energy of the Franklinton district through its versatile, context-driven design. Inspired by shipping containers, the facade features Rieder facades öko skin, with a striking five-storey self-portrait mural by Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra as a defining landmark.

As part of the new Koralm Railway, Rieder facade solutions were used at three railway stations and operational buildings – built to last, low-maintenance, and visually striking.
