Katieoneilyoga Small Yoga Community in Innsbruck making your yoga practice more personal and meaningful. It makes your yoga practice have a more personal feeling.

Yoga in the Altstadt is a completely different yoga experience then what is normally offered at other yoga studio's. You know your teacher and your teacher knows you. The classes are small and have a very easy going feel to them. I believe that through the power of yoga one can connect with their body and soul on a deeper level. Taking care of your body through an active yoga practice will help you learn more about your body and how to care for it, so it can run properly. My goal is to create an environment that you feel at ease and comfortable with yourself. My mission is to offer one of a kind classes at an AFFORDABLE rate. I believe that no matter your income, yoga should be available to you! General Details

My mantra for this Autumn season

Let it be easy

Whatever decisions you are taking
Whatever plans you are making
Whatever path you are traveling down
Whatever schedule you are setting

LET IT BE EASY

We don't have to make life harder than it already is by adding more than we can handle. We don't have to choose the path of most resistance. We don't to say yes to everything.

Another class to help support you through your week!

YINYANG Flow every Wednesday at 17:45-19 in the yogaraum-innsbruck

This class is about creating more balance in our practice, which hopefully will extend into our busy lives. Yin is the passive form of the practice. Where we hold sitting or lying down poses for 3-4 minutes. This helps us find more flexibility and more liquid in our joints. We learn to enjoy the stillness and settle into a more patient mindset.

Yang is the active form of the practice. It is the movement and flow of yoga and life. We clear space and tension in the body by moving mindfully through a flow. We practice first the Yang that will get old energy out of the way and then settle into the yin for the second part of the class. This is a beautiful practice for those that are seeking more of a balanced practice. Time to move and time to be still.

A chance in your week to get out of head and into your body. Hatha flow is a combination of Hatha and Vinyasa. It's perfectaction between moving fast and slowing down. Holding a pose long enough to feel confident in it and then moving into the next pose. Breathe is driving the flow.

We bend so we don't break

I just came back from yoga retreat .
I completely different style of yoga than I am use to. Different style of teaching,  different type of yogis, different approach and different mindset.

I fought with my head for 7 days.
Trying to accept the experience. Trying not to judge,  compare,  complain.
The more I fought against it,  the harder it was to find peace with it.

I can't say it was a good or bad experience.
It was an experience of trying to remember all the lessons I've learned through yoga, meditation, Buddhism and put them into practice.

Peace of mind is disturbed by finding fault with others or external things.

Peace comes when we bend a little so our peace is not broken.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

We only see what people want us to see on social media.

It's become a place of disillusion that everyone has it all together.

That everyone is winning.

That everyone has what we want.

If you could take a picture from your page and write 20 or a 1000 words to describe that picture, what would it really tell the world?!??!

In a world where we think more is better,
it's hard to flip our thinking to less is sometimes more.

Doing less can mean:

Doing whatever we do with a deeper intention.

Quality over quantity.

What we are doing gets our full attention.

Consuming what we need not just because we want.

Not filling up every space with things to make us feel more whole.

Not filling up every hour in the day because it makes us feel more productive but in truth it just leaves us feeling burnt out.

How do you define your freedom?

Is it the right to choose what you do today?
Is it letting go of your responsibilities?
Is it moving at your own pace?
Is it not having to answer to anyone but yourself?

We all thought when we grew up we would be FREE to do whatever we wanted but then life reality hits and we realize life can feel controlled or restricted.

We have our responsibilities, our work, our family obligations , money to earn, bills to pay, alarm clocks to rise to, and on and on.

How do we find FREEDOM between all of this???

We create it!

In small ways, in the early hours of the morning before the alarm is set to go off, when we are out in nature, moving our bodies, listening to what we need in that moment.

The feeling of FREEDOM is there, in those moments.
