In Autumn 2020 the European Association for Psychotherapy conducted a survey asking Psychotherapists all over Europe how they had responded to the pandemic.

▶️ Please find a very interesting summary of the results which shows how Psychotherapists have successfully adapted to work with online methods, and have continued to offer Psychotherapy to those who need it across Europe in an effective and sustained way.

Psychotherapy in COVID times

The World-wide pandemic and extremely long lockdowns in many countries created awfully specific conditions for practice of psychotherapy – a profession, which is based on direct human relationship and personal involvement. This pressed all professionals, despite their likings, to switch to online work, and so massive change is still to be analysed and evaluated both theoretically and practically.

Our conference "Psychotherapy in COVID times" is one of the attempts to explore the impact of these changes on our practice, our clients, patients, and the therapists.

We hope this exchange of the experience, ideas, and expertise will help all practitioners to look at their situation in slightly different way. Some presentations will give an outlook of the contemporary role of psychotherapy, some will depict the changes in our clients/patients, some other will analyse the specific challenges of our pandemic times and how to deal with it.
