Did you ever "hit a wall" during a long training session? This is something that many athletes recognize, but it can easily be avoided.

It is important to consume enough carbs during training to prevent a complete depletion of your energy. The average recommendation during training is about 30-60g per hour. The products in this figure all contain 30g of carbs. So mix and match to get to your optimal intake!

How to choose the optimal energybar? 🤔

It is important to eat right during a long or intensive training. You need a snack that gives you energy but is also easy to digest.

An optimal bar contains a high amount of carbohydrates to fuel the muscles. Protein, fat and fibers should be kept at a minimum to avoid gastrointestinal distress. 💪🚴‍♂️

Overnight oats are one of my favourite breakfast options because they save a lot of time in the morning 🤩

Overnight oats are also perfect before an endurance training, this meal contains a lot of carbs and fibers to give your body the right fuel 🚴‍♂️

This one is made with peanut butter and fresh berries, but you can have endless other combinations!

Morgen zal het mijn laatste werkdag zijn in Wachtebeke. Wegens de drukte heb ik besloten om te stoppen met deze praktijk. Je kan uiteraard wel nog terecht bij mij in één van de andere praktijken of via online begeleiding. In Wachtebeke zal mijn collega Flore de consultaties vanaf volgende week overnemen.
