Mental Health Suggestion... 2 years ago i fell speedskating on this lake - shattered my shoulder bone & suffered a complete rotator cuff tear.
Real Healing can mean you choose to bring your body back to the physical place of injury, in order to:
1. remind your body that it is now SAFE, but not by just telling it with words, but by conscious movement via what ever sport feels the most powerful, the most calm, the most empowering.
This all happens simultaneously, no overthinking only allowing...
2. BREATHE deeply, all the while consciously choosing to be safe..allow that old memory part of the brain to feel what ever it feels, but mindfully aware of the NOW, the present sensations of calm movement, the visual cues, all and any sensory cues in the environment which let you know that what once happened, has past - it is now only a memory tucked away and that Today you are Healed..Free.. and Safe from harm.
3. Finally, pair this with ICE Cream & a Joyful celebration. Voila, you have added an important layer to what was a harsh memory, but is NOW forever changed! This is healing and only You can do this for You!
