About Me
Thanks for stopping by. I'm excited for you to get to know me. My name is Kristina Halsig. I currently reside in the Tampa, FL area. I have always been interested in health and wellness and followed my passion into Health Coaching. I became vegetarian at the age of 18 and became plant-based approximately 6 years ago after realizing that I was having issues with dairy. I've recently found out that I have Leaky Gut Syndrome. The process of identifying what was happening in my body and working to heal myself has given me additional insight on the various contributors to good vs. bad health.
I received my health coach training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, plant-based nutrition certification from eCornell and T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and plant-based cooking certification from Rouxbe.com & Forks Over Knives. I've studied a variety of dietary theories (vegan, keto, macrobiotic and mediterranean just to name a few) as well as practical lifestyle coaching methods. I am a marketing professional with years of experience in Experiential Marketing so living with high stress situations and frequent travel is very familiar to me. I've learned many tricks to stay healthy and remain balanced while in those situations and would love to share them with you.
I am always learning. I enjoy listening to podcasts, reading research papers, nutrition/lifestyle books and exploring a variety of documentaries focused on nutrition. I look forward to sharing some of this info with you. With my knowledge, we will dive into your goals and interests to co-create personalized action plans. We will work together to identify your ideal vision of health within your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and resources.
