As promised, an insight into our personal journey & how we supported a healthy pregnancy after loss.
My professional knowledge, education and experience tells me there is always a reason for everything, including pregnancy loss, while yes it is common, doesnāt mean it should be considered normal. Anyone who has experienced loss will understand, the number or gestation of the pregnancy doesnāt matter, itās devastating all the same.
I spent 12 months prior to our first pregnancy working on my health with a practitioner (I NEVER self prescribe). During this time we also got my partners health in check, this included a full blood analysis, semen analysis & reduction in stress (This was a big one). From a practitioners perspective, we did all the right things.
I felt confident in my body, I understood my cycle as I had been tracking for years, knew when I was ovulating & that I was 100% ovulation, my digestion was good, my stress was under control, I barley drank, ate well, I thought I was set!
Each miscarriage was around 6 weeks, we took 3 months off in-between to give my body time to recover (this is a recommendation I make to all my clients, a challenging one, but worth it) as well as continue to investigate further. It was after the 2nd miscarriage I KNEW we were missing something and on reflection, I wasnāt doing all the things I recommend my clients to do because I thought I knew my body better. This is why you ALWAYS test and donāt guess.
These slides are a list of areas we investigated, it wasnāt until we addressed these areas that we fell pregnant.
This is far from a magic pill or the āoneā answer youāve been looking for, this is a brief insight into the MANY different areas of yours and your partners health, which isnāt investigated by the main stream health options, that may be contributing to your fertility struggles.
