The team at East wrapped up Endometriosis Awareness Month with a yellow-themed morning tea 🌼

Endometriosis often causes painful periods, pelvic pain, fatigue, and fertility challenges—yet many suffer in silence. If you experience severe period pain, please don’t hesitate to speak with your GP and seek a referral to a gynaecologist. Treatment can make a real difference to your quality of life.

Endometriosis pain is too often dismissed—but no woman should suffer in silence. At East we listen, support, and help women take control of their lives.

In a well-timed move for Endometriosis Awareness Month, relugolix with estradiol and norethisterone (sold as Ryeqo) will be added to the PBS from May 1, providing a new treatment option for those living with endo.

If you or someone you love is struggling, we’re here to help. Get a referral from your GP and book in with one of our gynaecologists who will take your concerns seriously.

For the first time in 30 years, new oral contraceptive pills—Yaz and Yasmin—have been added to the PBS. This means more affordable access to contraception, saving women hundreds of dollars per year and promoting better healthcare for all. 🌟💊

February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month 🩵🎗️

Ovarian cancer is often called the “silent killer” because symptoms can be vague and easily overlooked. At East O+G, we believe in the power of awareness, early detection, and supporting those affected.

This month, our team came together for a teal ribbon morning tea to acknowledge the importance of ovarian cancer awareness and to encourage open conversations about women’s health. Taking the time to know your body, recognise changes, and seek medical advice when something doesn’t feel right can make a real difference.

Let’s continue to raise awareness, support research, and empower women with knowledge. If you have concerns about your health, don’t wait—speak to your doctor.
