Under the name of Remedial Massage Therapy, we, therapists, use a wide range of techniques depending on our expertise.
I choose which techniques are appropriate for my clients based on the consultation and assessment before the treatment.
For example, if a client says, "I want my neck and shoulder to be released, but I don't like firm pressure too much", or "My glutes and flank are ticklish when someone touches, but I feel they are very tight.", then, I'll change the approach to treat those areas.
Also, feedback and questions are welcome anytime during and after the treatment, so clients can receive treatment without concerns:-)

We are in the season of "dampness" in TCM
During late summer, we are encouraged to take care of our digestive system in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).
Due to the fatigue from the heat during the summer, our digestive system is likely compromised and weakened. The common symptoms are fatigue, poor sleep, foggy thinking, and even joint pain.
When we harmonize the system during this period, we can coop with autumn and winter well. If we nourished well during winter, we could enjoy spring and summer. And that's how we regulate our system throughout the year.
The most important thing is that you admit how you are. If you know what you are, you can take an appropriate action according to it.
Life is busy and it's difficult to stop, but let's come out from auto-pilot mode and talk to yourself sometime😊

Between the first breath and the last breath: we call itā€ My lifeā€.
When you are not talking, singing, or exercising, please try feeling how you are breathing.
Does it make you ease your body and mind?
Or does it bring anxiety and tension to your body?
When your breathing is calm and not forced, it sends the message to every cell in your body: "You are safe to be here and it’s OK to be who you are.ā€.
You don’t know how much it empowers you.
When you want to be healthier or love yourself more, but you struggle to find the way, feel the breathing at the start.
Connect to yourself via breathing, then you will find YOUR way to well-being.

Remember that in winter, it's natural for things to flow slower.
Winter may give a cold and dark impression, but it's necessary for nature to thrive in the spring. It's a time for us to nourish and nurture ourselves.

Often, in the middle of winter, clients feel extra tenderness and tightness during massage sessions. That's actually why I recommend having a massage in mid to late winter. Releasing tension and tightness can bring awareness to where you tend to hold stress (even you don't feel it necessary) , so you can use this information in your stretching and exercises.

If you like, I can incorporate hot stones into the treatment, so you'll feel soothed as well. :-)
