I’m getting the itch, but I’m not coming back to compete any time soon.

I understand the competition FOMO, but rushing to stage, whether it be for the first time or for a comeback, is only going to do a disservice to yourself.

Tbh I was lucky to walk away with a men’s physique pro card & some top 3’s at nationals in 2024.

But (as expected) I found out that I was way too small for classic physique, and with my current priorities it’s going to take me 5+ years to get to that level.

This sport is about patience, consistency & delayed gratification after all.

Half the reason you aren’t making the progress you want to, is that you’re not showing up for yourself consistently.

It takes most people longer to achieve their weight & physique goals than they first anticipate, so rather than giving up, acknowledge that it will take longer to get there.

Accept the ups & downs along the way, and keep showing up for yourself regardless.

Gradual change adds up.

The last two years have been wild. 🤯

I got married, became a pro, went on our honeymoon, coached 4 athletes in one season, had another 11 working towards future seasons at the one time, stopped working with combat sports athletes, paid my sub contractor coaches close to $1000 in a week, and was working the least amount of hours ever, then had a beautiful baby girl & are almost ready to move into our new house!

But 2025 hasn’t been all so kind, I’ve had some bad luck, and I’ve been building resentment towards social media & the fitness industry. As a result I’ve really only been relying on word of mouth to keep INTG alive.

Things are improving now, and my in-person books are full again, only taking on online clients for the time being.

I realise that I don’t have to do or listen to what others do, and I can instead be the change that I want to see in the industry (thank you for saying this recently).

So thank you to those who kept supporting me (whether that be as a client or just liking the occasional post), I can promise you that you haven’t seen the best of INTG yet.

You’ll often hear things like “My clients EAT MORE to LOSE weight”

And I think this is misleading, so let me explain.

Quite often people who severely under eat will also overeat or binge at times because of this. Sometimes we hyperfocus & get locked in for 8 hours, only to realise you haven’t eaten, drank, or looked after yourself at all.

The other side of this is when people under eat so much that it affects their metabolism, resulting in ‘chronic low energy availability,’ which can make it easier to gain weight.

The result is “not eating much” while gaining weight or not losing weight.

Jasmine followed the plan to the tee, got out of her comfort zone, and indeed did lose weight while eating more on a regular basis. 🙌🏽

5.1kg down, 4 weeks, minimal effort (so far), it’s a dream cut so far.

It’s easy to get sucked into the marketing hype of the supplement industry, but not all sport supplements are created equal.

So here’s a tier list to help pick the necessary & evidence-based, versus the fluffier ones that may have a lesser effect.

S Tier - Whey or Vegan Blend Protein Powders, Creatine Monohydrate, and Omega-3/Fish Oil even though it’s more of a health supplement

A Tier - Pre-Workout (remember it’s primarily caffeine), Beta Alanine (for endurance & not that relevant for physique goals)

B Tier - Fat Burners (more marketing BS but otherwise basically a pre-workout)

C Tier - Collagen (not clear if it is actually used by connective tissue), Non-Stim Pre-Workouts or Pump Formula (if they didn’t contain L-Citrulline for a nice pump they would be D Tier)

D Tier - Creatine Gummies (particularly that recent scandal), L-Carnitine (would be higher if injected into the muscle), Test Boosters (bro, just no)
