Susannah from Nourish with Arts is going to be running an Art therapy group on Wednesdays during term 4 at our Kerry Street Venue at Christies Beach.

🌻 It’s Invisible Disabilities Week!

Not all disabilities are visible, but a little kindness goes a long way.

It’s Invisible Disabilities Week (19–25 October)! 🌻

Around 80–85% of people with a disability have one that isn’t visible. These include neurological, cognitive, sensory, mental health, and chronic conditions that aren’t always immediately apparent.

Not all disabilities are visible — but a little understanding and kindness can go a long way in making everyone feel seen and supported.

We are so excited to share this arts therapy group on Wednesdays for adult NDIS and private participants.

Over 8 weeks, we’ll create and connect with the therapeutic arts.

No art experience is necessary. All you need is an openness to be curious as we play, create, and connect with arts modalities.

The NDIS can be tricky to navigate at times.

To make this easier for you, Nourish with Arts has multiple pathways for therapeutic funding.

We offer arts therapy, counselling using arts therapy approaches, and disability and life skills therapy under 'other professional' as a registered NDIS provider for therapeutic support. We are ANZACATA, ACA, and TRBSA Registered.

So this is good news if you are interested in our new arts therapy group starting next week facilitated by Susannah. We have only 2 spots left!

We’re aware people have interests in all sorts of things - and whilethere is Comic-Con and Avcon for those who like gaming, Anime, and other different entertainment genres, sometimes those with other interests find a lack of events and options.

This one looks great for those who are more into reading and literature, its great to see a variety of new events and opportunities for a wider range of interests!

Inquiry into the Thriving Kids initiative

On 2 September 2025, the Minister for Health and Ageing, the Hon Mark Butler MP, referred an inquiry into the Thriving Kids initiative to the House Standing Committee on Health, Aged Care and Disability

A brief survey is now available to gather community feedback on the experiences of families and carers in accessing support services for children with additional needs.

The survey will be open until Friday, 10 October 2025.
