Building & Protecting Children’s Mental Health Through Sport

Given the success of the Growing with Gratitude program in schools, it was obvious that similar skills and messages would also be of enormous benefit and needed to flow in to local sporting club environments. Hence the establishment of Growing with Gratitude Sports.

Growing with Gratitude Sports (GWGS) builds and protects young athlete’s mental health. We do this by teaching skills through sport based on gratitude, kindness, empathy, mindfulness and serving others, resulting in greater resilience and happiness. We help do this during training sessions and matches. Furthermore, we are teaching athletes the skills to overcome adversity and challenges, as well as teaching them to be good citizens.
