It’s October, which means it’s Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Awareness Month!

Established by ISAAC’s LEAD Project Committee in 2007, AAC Awareness Month has grown from 13 countries in its first year to a worldwide movement today.

The 2025 theme is “Innovation, Inclusion and Advocacy in AAC.”

Each October, communities around the globe raise awareness of AAC and the many ways people communicate using devices, apps, symbol boards, and more. Events range from open houses and awareness days to shared stories, videos, and songs.

These full-day workshops are perfect for speech pathologists, occupational therapists, educators, and carers who want to build confidence and practical skills using TD Snap – the leading augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) software.
