At this time of the year I get so many women reaching out wanting me to help them kick start their weight loss.

What this usually means is they are looking for a quick fix to shed a few kilos fast with the intention to then carry on working towards their goal at a slower pace.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In order to lose a few kilos fast we need to employ strict measures, and this is where the problem starts.

Rapid weight loss, even if you only lose a few kilos, triggers an alarm within the body.

Trying to lose weight through restrictive dieting when your health is a mess is a disaster waiting to happen.

I understand that losing weight can support the improvement of other health issues but it is important to get these basic foundations of health right first.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A stressed body that is not getting enough sleep, that is not receiving enough nutrients, that is struggling with hormone imbalance and poor gut health may be able to lose a bit of weight but it will struggle to keep it off long term.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Instead of doing another 30 day cleanse, shake diet, low calorie diet or some other restrictive fad, focus on building a strong healthy foundation for weight loss first. You may be surprised to discover that your body will begin to happily release weight as you build this strong foundation.
