This Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, we were delighted to host a breakfast with guest speakers Kellie Finlayson and Sophie Edwards, of the S**t Talkers podcast. Kellie and Sophie spoke of their journeys of diagnosis, treatment with curiosity, brutal honesty and deep courage. These two amazing young women are strong advocates for early screening, knowing your body and having open conversations with people you love.

If you are between 45 - 74 years, you are eligible for a free Bowel Cancer Screening test every two years.

Bowel cancer is the fourth most common type of newly diagnosed cancer and second deadliest in Australia. Early detection is key - 99% of bowel cancer cases can be treated successfully if treated early, however less than 50% of cases are detected early.
