Period pain is common, but it’s not normal!

From a TCM perspective, pain is a sign of imbalance, not something to push through.
Period pain often relates to poor circulation, cold, deficiency, or stored stress.
Your period should arrive and pass without disrupting your life.
Support exists, and change is possible.

If coffee is your personality… TCM has thoughts -
Coffee is a problem, needing it just to function is too.
In TCM, constant caffeine reliance can point to depleted energy and chronic stress.
True energy comes from nourishment, rest, digestion, and a regulated nervous system.
You deserve sustainable energy, not survival mode.

You don’t need to be ‘sick enough’ for acupuncture.

You don’t need a diagnosis or a breaking point.

Acupuncture is for regulation, prevention, and support, not just fixing something that’s “wrong.”

Many people come in simply because they want to feel calmer, sleep better, or have an easier cycle.

That’s more than enough reason.

Does acupuncture hurt?

For most people, acupuncture doesn’t hurt, but it can create sensation.

You might feel warmth, heaviness, tingling, or a dull ache. These are signs the body is responding.

Many people are surprised by how relaxed they feel, often drifting into deep rest.

Acupuncture works with your body, not against it.

5 signs your hormones may be out of balance (TCM view)

Hormonal imbalance doesn’t always look extreme, often it’s subtle and brushed off as “normal.”

From a TCM perspective, signs can include:
• PMS or mood changes
• Painful or clotty periods
• Fatigue after ovulation
• Cold hands and feet
• Anxiety before your bleed

TCM looks at the whole system, not just hormones in isolation.

Your cycle shouldn’t feel like a monthly battle.

Your blood tests are normal… but you still feel awful…

Traditional Chinese Medicine treats patterns, not just lab ranges.

One of the biggest misconceptions about health is that “normal results” = everything is fine.

In TCM, we look at how your body is functioning, not just numbers. Fatigue, bloating, anxiety, painful periods - these are messages, not inconveniences.

This is why acupuncture can often help when nothing else has.

✨Acupuncture & Perimenopause✨

For years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting women through hormone imbalances and fertility challenges. Listening to their bodies, honouring their cycles, and reminding them that symptoms are messages, not flaws. Now, that work naturally flows into supporting women through perimenopause.
Perimenopause is a natural transitional phase marked by hormonal fluctuations that can show up as hot flushes, night sweats, disrupted sleep, mood changes, anxiety, and irregular cycles. While it’s a normal stage of life, that doesn’t mean you have to “just put up with it.”
From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, these symptoms often reflect imbalances within the Kidney, Liver, and Heart systems. Acupuncture helps to restore balance by regulating the flow of qi and blood, supporting hormonal communication, calming the nervous system, and improving overall wellbeing.
Modern research also suggests acupuncture may support the endocrine and nervous systems, helping reduce hot flushes, improve sleep, and stabilise mood, all without medication. It’s a gentle, non-pharmacological option that can be used on its own or alongside conventional care.
Whether you’re trying to conceive, navigating hormonal shifts, or entering this new phase of womanhood. You deserve support, understanding, and care that looks at the whole picture.
Your body isn’t failing you. It’s asking for something different
