I wanted to share something a little personal today โ partly because it surprised me, and partly because it reminded me just how powerful true self care really is.
For most of my life, Iโve been blessed with clear skin. I never dealt with acne or breakouts, so I honestly took my skin for granted. I didnโt nurture it the way I should have. But over the last few years, I started noticing stress wrinkles forming โ little markers of just how much Iโd been carrying on my shoulders.
And if youโve followed my journey, youโll know that my body has been trying to get my attention for a long time. My back has always been the first thing to go out of balance when I go out of balance. Every time I push too hard, forget myself, or slip out of alignment, my back becomes the messenger โ loudly. Itโs been one of my greatest teachers in understanding that healing isnโt just physical. Itโs emotional, energetic, and deeply tied to how well I honour my Authentic Self.
About two years ago, my chiropractor referred me to an acupuncturist for my back. Iโd had an incredible acupuncturist back in NSW, but after moving to QLD six years ago, I hadnโt been able to find anyone who truly got both the body and the energetic layers. He recommended Toni, and honestlyโฆ she has been life-changing.
Then one day, Spirit nudged me โ that little whisper that drops in when youโre ready to hear it โ telling me that acupuncture could also support my skin and help with the wrinkles. I knew Toni offered facial acupuncture, so I booked in. I went onceโฆ and I was hooked.
After committing to the treatments and starting to feel and see real change, Spirit guided me again: Invest in your face the way you invest in your Soul. That meant choosing skincare that was organic, ethical, and created with integrity โ not cheap, but aligned. So I bought my first set of truly high-quality products. And I actually used them. Daily. With intention.
Between facial acupuncture every six months and a simple, consistent skincare routine, something shifted โ not just in my skin, but in how I felt about myself.
The other night, we were sitting around the table as a family talking about skin, and someone casually mentioned that I look better now than ever. I honestly thought they were jokingโฆ but the whole family agreed. They said it looked like my ageing had actually reversed. I was shocked, flattered, and deeply grateful โ because I felt better, but I didnโt realise it was so obvious on the outside.
Then yesterday, Toni mentioned that my skin was looking incredible too. So I took that as my sign to share this.
Because this isnโt really a story about wrinkles.
Itโs a story about self care, energetic alignment, and what happens when you finally choose yourself.
I always tell my clients that self care is the beginning of genuine change. And itโs true. I didnโt do anything dramatic โ I simply made myself a priority:
โจ I booked the treatments
โจ I invested in my wellbeing, even when it felt uncomfortable
โจ I created a daily ritual with skincare, gratitude, and affirmations
โจ I thanked my skin โ even the wrinkles โ for everything theyโve carried for me
And slowly, everything began to shift. I felt better. I looked better. And the energy of that started radiating outward.
So if youโve been getting the nudge to take better care of yourself โ your skin, your body, your nervous system, your Soul โ take this as your sign. You deserve to feel nourished, balanced, and supported. Your body will thank you, your energy will soften, and the glow will follow.
With Light & Love,

PS: This is a photo of me during my session yesterday. When I first saw it, I honestly thought it looked a bit fake and pretty funny, so I wanted to share it. ๐ It might look painful to some, but itโs actually far less painful than many other treatments people regularly get done.
