In the lead up to Sexual Violence Awareness Month in October, Townsville Sexual Assault Support Service at The Women's Centre will be running art workshops alongside many other sexual assault support services across the state with survivors and allies to honour the voices of survivors and raise awareness of sexual violence across Queensland.

Together we can... is the theme of the workshops, and we want to invite all women to join us in creating a collaborative art piece that raises the voices of survivor's and shows that together we can...

A second evacuation centre has now been opened 🏠

𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁
📍 24 Burke Street, North Ward QLD 4810
✔️ Pets will be accepted at this evacuation centre.
All animals must be in portable carriers or crates large enough that they can stand, turn around and lie down.

It's recommended residents seek shelter with friends and family, as the evacuation centres are a last-resort option.
