I just had a consult with a Mumma of a 11m old who was waking 3 times a night

Mumma is feeding back to sleep each time. But this situation (and likely yours too!) is not about focusing on curbing the feeding/rocking back to sleep.

It’s about Figuring out WHY your baby is waking in the first place. Here’s 5 reasons why:

➡️ COLD

➡️SLEEP PRESSURE

➡️DAY CALORIES

➡️CONNECTION

➡️SLEEP ASSOCIATION to get to sleep

If you correct the first 4 factors that are contributing to your night waking, you are 70% of the way there. Next work on reducing your sleep associations.
If your think the final reason is why your child is waking and are struggling to move away from these

Are you allowing for “settling time” in the cot
when you put your child to bed for naps or overnight? 🤷‍♀️

When we do this we aren’t allowing the full amount of sleep pressure that is needed to not only GO to sleep quickly but STAY asleep for a long nap.

Ensure you put your child in the cot AT the end of the awake time not beforehand to ensure the full amount of sleep pressure, a quick settle and a long rejuvenating nap.

Comment below “YES” if you have been doing naps this way ⬇️⬇️⬇️

These are the signs it’s time to drop from 3-2 naps

🤔6-9m age
🤔struggling to start nap 3 by 5pm
🤔achieving this 3rd nap is pushing bedtime beyond 8pm
🤔you are struggling to get the 3rd nap even asa motion nap

Comment below with your child’s routine and let’s see if they are ready to move to 2 naps ⬇️⬇️

Follow this sleep hack to stop your 2-3 year old climbing out of their cot🚀

Get the day sleep correct which will ensure your sleep pressure for bedtime and overnight is ideal and your child won’t be Undertired and therefore climb out of the cot 👏

This is important because if you put them in a big bed too your they don’t have the impulse control to stay there and you may create another complication.
