Why is it that we ignore the signals that our body gives us that we need rest…but not the signals for hunger, thirst or bathroom signals?? (Or perhaps these too)

This is all part of the ‘To Do’ list trap that caught me in 2025.

The world we live in sucks us into the idea that rest is a reward reserved for when the list is finished!

If I could choose a mantra for 2026 it would be “rest is a requirement. Not a reward”.

It’s not about shying away from hard work and avoiding challenging things. It’s about proactive maintenance.

I was at a point last year where the never ending and expanding to do list would not leave my mind! It was torture. Sleep?? What was this!

All self inflicted! I had a long list of horror stories of what might happen if I stopped and took a breath.

With my word of this year ‘FOCUS’… I am keeping the focus on rest.

Both my own AND yours!

Because nothing else works if we don’t!

Just like our phones need charging every night to work… so to do we!

My ‘why’ for what I do has suddenly become even stronger!

This little escape has reminded me just how powerful a RESET that REST is.

Big things are happening for JMHW and you are at the forefront!

Food for thought…

We are all beautifully human.

This beautiful role I have anchored myself in hasn’t flourished because I have it all figured out. Definitely not.

That goes for all healers in this space!

Everything we share, whether it’s teachings, posts, energy or conversations, it comes from our own journey of growth and learning.

We stumble, we don’t have all the answers, and we certainly don’t have life figured out.

But what we do have. The capacity to hold a safe space for you.

We guide without taking control.
We support without imposing our views.

We walk this path together, drawing from our experiences, the study of life and the commitment to ongoing learning.

Forever the student!

It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being fully present.

Being in this space for has taught me some incredible lessons. But the biggest one; our shared humanity, which connects us all in the most wonderful ways.

In this lovely class, Wendy and Jen will create space for you to reflect on a word that you might choose at the retreat, or one that you already chosen.

You will do some journaling, meditation gentle restorative yoga, as well as creating your very own elegant and functional piece of jewellery or trinket bowl that allows you to see your word daily if you want!

Everything you need to make your keepsake will be provided.

Just bring yourself!

And some key takeaways:

• Watermelon flavor always wins. No contest.
• Not everyone are your people, and that’s fine.
• Contracts matter; don’t overlook the details.
• Living in the moment is expensive.
• Indoor plants have personalities. Some are absolute diva’s!
• Going to bed before 10 is really hard!
• Don’t go into an op shop looking too put together!
• Be someone you can rely on, not just for others.
• Cash in your wallet - it’s just play money and doesn’t count as spending!
• Being upside down (literally) can be surprisingly fun.
• Friends that make you laugh, absolutely essential.
• Embrace change, it’s often where growth happens.
• Celebrate small wins! every step counts.
• Stay curious. Learning keeps life exciting.

Hey everyone!

It’s been a while, and I see a lot of new faces here, so I thought it was time to reintroduce myself!

As an INFJ, my life is met with a mix of impulsivity and deep thought. I’m an observer and feel vibes from a mile away.

I’m fiercely protective of my freedom, but I’ll happily accept all cookies just to view the webpage I want to see. Convenience!?

I love the thrill of spontaneous adventures, although probably less so these days. I find comfort in the routine of my morning chai and a slice of apple and walnut bread.

every. morning. (I’m committed)

I approach my running journey with less commitment. I’m currently in my once a fortnight phase!

Being a single mum probably means that spontaneous adventures aren’t my time right now. But who knows? Maybe in my 50s, I’ll be up in Byron, living my best life in a van!

What really fuels me is making an impact on people’s lives. I’m so grateful to have found my passion and something I love doing every day.

Connecting with you all and sharing this journey means the world to me!

Clear bedroom | Clear mind | Good sleep!

This week, I tackled a ‘monumental’ task from my bingo card: wiping down and clearing my bedside tables.

I know...this doesn’t sound like much, but let me tell you, the satisfaction was real!

After a bit of organisation - let’s be honest I don’t need 1000 hair ties and bobby pins at my reach, my bedside tables now actually reflect a person who is ready to sleep!

I decided that bracelets, earrings and all those miscellaneous things are much better off where they actually belong.

The things I did keep:

• Oil and gua sha tool in plain sight to make sure I don’t forget my fav little lymphatic routine at night.

• The selenite pyramid (the crystal of sleep)

• My diffuser (current fave is lemongrass)

• Lamp and token green plant!🪴

It’s all about that zen vibe!

I can’t believe that Winter is officially over.

It’s amazing how fast time goes, I almost feel a little guilty as I wished it away and now it’s gone! Perhaps I could’ve enjoyed it more?

No! Actually that’s a firm no. Winter is not for me! 🫠

In saying that I can’t not notice that feeling of being robbed of time because we haven’t been as intentional as we could have.

Almost handing over our right to decide how we want to spend our days. Each moment. 🙋🏽‍♀️

The time will pass anyway, so we might as well be intentional about it.

This spring, I’m embracing small, intentional steps. This new season reminds us that first we get to decide how we want to F E E L and then look at what we can do to get there.

So, in true “me” fashion, I’ve created a bingo card to give myself (and anyone who wants to join me) options to choose from each week!

BUT JUST ONE! No cheating. Drop the expectations and pressure. There’s no prizes for doing more! Unless of course you want to!

I’ll be picking one small activity each week that aligns with how I want to feel at the end of this month!

You don’t even have to share your choices if you don’t want to, feel free to do this quietly behind the scenes as a little experiment to see how you feel at the end of the month.

It’s a great reminder of the power of one single choice, one small step, and one simple action.
