Breakfast for this morning plus an extra serving in the fridge for tomorrow. No hidden nasties, I control the sweetness and flavours and then a quick clean mode for the bowl. So easy.

Third visit to Hoi An and I finally did a private Lantern making class.
I remember why I am a better cook than crafter.
My teacher was constantly telling me to watch where I was putting my clumsy hands.
It bought back memories of sewing as a kid!
Pretty happy with the outcome. Now I have to find a place to hang it when I get home.

Ms Vys Vietnamese cooking school this morning with a visit to the Hoi An markets where I had already visited but this time with a local chef.

Then back to the restaurant to have some demonstrations of making Cau Lau noodles and Rose dumplings.

We then prepared in the kitchen Cabbage Soup with Shrimp rolls, Marinated Chicken with green Mango salad and Vietnamese Pancakes in rice paper. All seasoned to perfection but my slicing skills were a little clunky using their slicing knives.

Great fun and so nice to meet other travellers.

You are away on holidays and your daughter sends you photos from her Navy Base kitchenette where she has used her recently gifted TM6 to whip up Chinese Chicken and Rice with extra ginger.
So proud that she is using her machine but also more wrapped that she is cooking healthy meals in her space without having a full kitchen.

Oh Hoi An you always deliver in the world of food.

Daily Bahn Mi for lunch from a cart/shop front around the corner from the hotel. We have been there every day and have tried the whole menu.

Fresh produce abounds at the local market, yes tourists are wondering around but the locals are there buying the fresh ingredients for their businesses and homes.

Revisited a little Brewery in a laneway in old town last night for a local brew and French wine, and a great chat with a local brewer.

Lunch today was Pork & Fried Rice & Dumpling Soup.

Some of the best meals we have had are in tiny family run restaurants. Their service is fast, ingredients fresh and they are so happy for the business in what is the off season due to the high humidity and heat.

Time for another swim…..

My TM7 is having a little rest whilst my hubby and I caught up with our friends in Singapore and today we head onto Hoi An Vietnam.

The best thing about travel is the people and the food and so far it has not disappointed us.

Yep, this is a new TM6 ready to go in a kitchen, Cookidoo account set up and safety precautions covered.

What is so special about this TM6 you ask?
Our 19 year old daughter, a Seaman with the Royal Aust Navy who resides on a Base, proudly sent me the photo of her new TM6 in her studio apartment kitchen bench.

This only happened as a result of me taking advantage of the Trade Up offer last month of my old TM5 to get her a discounted TM6.

She has been bulk cooking on a Sunday using my recipes text to her so that she has her favourite meals at the end of long shifts on base.

Now and In the future, she can cook for herself in places that have limited kitchen facilities. She will not need to buy other appliances down the track and she can save money on groceries and Take-out.
PLUS she is pretty excited about the Cocktail recipes on Cookidoo.

Do you have grown up kids leaving the nest? Kids getting married? Grand babies on the way? A TM7 is the perfect gift that keeps giving in so many positive, healthy ways.

A day of mixed emotions! Yes our TM6’s are part of the family and they are all gone. Thermomix has sold out and now we will be solely selling the new TM7. Don’t worry I will continue to support you whichever model Thermomix is on your bench. Please PM if you wish to see Thor my new TM7 in action.

I rarely go out for Breakfast. I just find it so pricy compared to what I can make at home and I am generally disappointed with the menu options. Porridge in 8 minutes in the TM6 or 7 with an extra serve put in the fridge to reheat for tomorrow. And don’t get me started on ordering a cup of tea at a cafe. Coffee making is a work of art - Tea making is an afterthought. What are you making for breakfast this weekend?
