[INGROWN TOENAIL? ...WE CAN HELP!]
Ingrown toenails can be painful, but the good news is they’re very treatable! 👣
If you’re dealing with redness, swelling, or pain along the side of your toenail, it may be an ingrown nail.
A visit to your Podiatrist can safely remove the problem edge of the nail, relieve the pressure, and help prevent it from coming back.
Don’t wait until it gets worse — early treatment means faster relief and a smoother recovery.
If you’re struggling with an ingrown toenail, book an appointment and we will get you back to walking comfortably again! 🙂

[DID YOU KNOW THAT WE DO DRY NEEDLING?]
Trigger Point Dry Needling is a medical treatment especially useful in the management of musculoskeletal problems.
A Trigger Point (TP) is a small, often painful contraction of muscle fibres that can develop due to abnormal muscle function, compensatory movements for pain and other problems (myofascial pain syndrome).
TPs prevent normal muscle function by causing stiffness in the muscle and subsequent muscle and skeletal compensations as well as localised and referred pain.

[STAY ACTIVE - STAY PAIN FREE!]
Staying active and playing sport is one of the best things you can do for your health — but it can also put extra stress on your feet
Running, jumping, quick direction changes, and training on hard surfaces can all contribute to common foot problems like Plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, and ankle sprains.
Ignoring early signs like heel pain, arch discomfort, or tight calves can often lead to bigger issues down the track.
The good news?
Most sports-related foot problems respond really well to early treatment and the right advice.
If your feet are sore, don’t push through it — look after them so they can keep you moving 🏃‍♂️⚽

[WINTER SPORTS ARE COMING - WATCH OUT FOR HEEL PAIN]
With kids’ winter sports starting soon, this is the time of year we see more children coming into clinic with heel pain 👣❄️
Sports like AFL and soccer involve lots of running and jumping.
When you combine growing bodies with firm football boots, it can place extra stress on young heels — especially in active kids going through growth spurts.
A common cause of this type of pain is Sever's disease, which affects the growth plate at the back of the heel.
If your child is complaining of heel pain, limping, or avoiding sport, don’t ignore it.
Early assessment and simple management can help keep them active and enjoying the season ⚽🏉

[STOP IGNORING THAT HEEL PAIN!!]
If you’ve been wondering, “Why do I have heel pain?” — you’re not alone.
Heel pain is super common and can happen for a few reasons 👣

One of the biggest causes is Plantar fasciitis, which is inflammation of the band of tissue that supports your arch.
It usually hurts most with your first steps in the morning.
Other causes can include Achilles tendinitis, heel spurs, wearing unsupportive shoes, standing for long hours, or suddenly increasing your activity level.
Don't let your heel pain control you.
Book in now to see the Podiatrists at Complete Podiatry for an assessment of your heel pain and find the solutions you need to take charge of your heel pain.

If your heel pain is sticking around, getting worse, or affecting how you walk, it’s a good idea to get it checked out. Your feet carry you everywhere — take care of them 💙

[FAST TRACK YOUR RECOVERY WITH SHOCKWAVE THERAPY]
Radial Shock-Wave Therapy is widely used for the treatment of many bone and soft tissue conditions in the feet and legs.
Treatment with our shockwave usually takes about 10 minutes during which you may receive up to 3000 pulses.
Many clients find pain relief 8-10 days after the first treatment.
Depending on the condition and your response you may require from 2 to 6 treatments, although the average is 2.2.
The initial phase of treatment may cause some deep pain, however, this indicates the correct targeting of the problem area.
During the treatment, you may then feel some numbness or heaviness in the area and towards the end, it feels less painful.

[ANKLE SPRAINS]
If you’ve ever rolled your ankle, you know how quickly it can happen — and how long it can linger.
In this video, I’m going to talk about ankle sprains: why they’re more than “just a minor injury,” why they often keep coming back, and what you can do to properly recover and prevent future problems.
Let’s get into it.

[WHY ATHLETES SHOULDN'T IGNORE FOOT PAIN]
Foot pain isn’t just “part of the game.”
As an athlete, your feet are your foundation.
Every sprint, jump, pivot, and landing puts stress through them.
When pain starts, it’s often a warning sign — not something to push through.

Ignoring foot pain can lead to bigger problems: longer time on the side-lines, compensations that cause knee or hip injuries, and chronic issues that are much harder to fix.
Early assessment and the right treatment can mean the difference between a quick recovery and a season-ending injury.
Listen to your body.
Pain is information — not weakness.

Helping build healthy families, from the feet up

We are the lucky ones.

Every morning we get to come to work to do something we love.

I guess not many people can say that.

We work with families to help them do the things they love without having to worry about their feet.
