What a gorgeous, soggy little loop we did around Alice this morning! Even dodging the causeways wasn’t enough to save a few wet runners, but that’s all part of the fun with this crew.
We chatted about everything along the way… jobs, the roads, this wild wet weather, lawns growing faster than we can mow, moving house, shovelling dirt, and of course the big question of the week: is there much stock left on the shelves at Coles or Woolies?

It was so lovely seeing all your smiling faces again. Thank you for showing up, rain or shine that’s exactly why this group is so special.
And a big shoutout to Stumps Café for having us again this morning. Always such a welcoming place to wrap up our walk.

This morning’s walk was such a gorgeous reminder of why this little community means so much. 💛
We wandered, we talked, and we laughed our way through so many parts of life, holidays we’re dreaming of, renovations driving us mad, dates and relationships (the good, the bad, and the funny!), and of course, stories about beautiful grandbabies.
We even crossed paths with the men on their walk, which gave us all a good giggle.
Every week, it’s not just about the steps… it’s the connection, the fresh air, and the way we show up for ourselves and each other.
Strong hearts, strong minds, strong women.
Same time next week, ladies!

This morning our Just Strong Ladies crew met on the Eastside and wow… what a way to start the day. The sunrise was absolute magic soft pink skies, fresh air, and the kind of stillness that makes you breathe a little deeper and feel grateful.
Surrounded by wonderful women, we wandered through Eastside sharing stories and laughs. We chatted about movies and favourite actors, talked honestly about our parents getting older and what it means to care for them, and reminisced about the “old Eastside” the way things used to be, the memories, the people. There’s something special about walking side by side that makes conversations flow so naturally.
And of course… the reward at the end ☕️✨

🌧️ JUST STRONG LADIES – SATURDAY WALK WRAP-UP 🌧️
This morning proved exactly why our little community is called Just Strong Ladies.
The pouring rain didn’t hold us back not even close! We powered through wet shoes, soggy shirts, blisters, and even crossed a flowing river like the absolute champions we are. 💪✨
Despite the weather, the laughs were louder than the rain, and the good vibes carried us all the way to a well-earned, warm coffee at 8CCC Café. ☕💛
Thank you to everyone who showed up and embraced the chaos with a smile. Days like this remind us that strength isn’t just physical it’s community, connection, and showing up even when the sky opens up on us.

🌅 Just Strong Ladies Walking Group Alice Springs Saturday Morning Walk! 🌿💛
What a beautiful morning! Our crew headed off down Larapinta Drive and looped back through the Desert Park trail, such a peaceful start to the weekend. We even had some lovely new faces join us today, which always makes our walks that extra bit special. 💕
We also crossed paths with the Heart Foundation Walking Group, and it was great to see so many people out enjoying the morning.
A big thank you to Coolamon Café for hosting us afterwards always such a welcoming spot to relax and catch up. ☕️💚

Yesterday’s walk took us down along the river, and honestly… what a beautiful morning it was. 💛
We had amazing new faces join us, women who’ve just landed in Alice, women returning, and women who’ve quietly been here all along. With every step came new conversations, new stories about work, life, connection to this wild little town we all call home.
There were the old friends who feel like home… and the new friends who feel like they were meant to cross our path. Who knows who is who anymore — that’s the magic of this group. 💫
We laughed, we shared, and we kept moving forward together — exactly what Just Strong is all about.
Can’t wait to see you all next Saturday, ladies.

Yesterday morning we wandered our way around Eastside, soaking up the Alice air and each other’s company. Plenty of laughs, plenty of steps, and plenty of good conversations.
We chatted about the classic Alice Springs question “How long did you say you’d be here?” versus how long you’ve actually stayed (we all know how that story goes 😄).
There were beautiful conversations about newborn babies and grandchildren, life changes, employment wins and challenges, and some honest chats about health and weight loss shared without judgement, just support.
This group is never just about the walk. It’s about connection, showing up, moving our bodies, and reminding each other that we’re not doing life alone.
Thank you to every strong lady who walked, talked, laughed, and shared ❤️

✨ Last Saturday’s Just Strong Ladies Walk ✨

Last Saturday marked 1 year of the Just Strong Ladies Walking Group Alice Springs and here we are… still walking, still showing up, still going strong 💪🌿

Over the past 12 months we’ve shared so many laughs, early morning chats, deep conversations, quiet reflections, and moments of pure joy. What’s been truly special is hearing the women share their stories. stories of transformation, resilience, courage, and just how far they’ve come in a year.
Some journeys have been loud and proud, others quiet and personal, but every single one is powerful. Watching women support one another, walk side by side, and celebrate growth (big and small) has been incredibly moving.
What started as a simple walk has become a safe space, a community, and a reminder that strength looks different on everyone, and that’s what makes it beautiful.
Here’s to the friendships formed, the stories shared, the steps taken, and everything still to come.
How wonderful it is to walk this journey together. 💛✨

Another beautiful Saturday morning with the Just Strong Ladies 🌿✨

Last Saturday’s walk around Desert Park was absolutely stunning perfect weather, great company, and plenty of laughs (as always!). A few new faces joined us too, and it was lovely having everyone together kicking off the weekend with movement, connection, and positivity.
It’s amazing what a simple sunrise walk can do shake off the week, reset the mind, and remind us how lucky we are to be surrounded by strong, supportive women (and a desert backdrop that never disappoints!).

This was our final walk for 2025, and what a year it’s been! Wishing everyone a happy and safe Christmas and New Year enjoy the break, look after yourselves, and soak up the magic of the season. 🎄✨

We’ll reset and restart in the new year, Saturday 10th January meeting at Stumps, where we first began one year ago! How special is that?! 💛🌅

Saturdays Just Strong Ladies walk took us around Desert Park 🌵☀️
Fresh air, beautiful surrounds, great chats and plenty of laughs along the way. Some strong strides, some gentle paces, and lots of smiles in between.

So lovely to start the day moving our bodies, connecting, and enjoying this amazing place we call home. Thanks to everyone who came along these walks really are about showing up, just as you are. 💪✨

What a morning!
We had lots of laughs, a few lost ladies, and some beautiful new faces joining the crew, exactly the kind of chaos and sunshine we love! 😂💛

From the moment we set off, the energy was high… even if some of us wandered off track (no names mentioned 🤣). But like always, we found each other, found the path, and found plenty to talk about along the way.

• Who needs a house sitter or dog sitter
• …and who’s brave enough to put their hand up 😅

As we move into the silly season, let’s keep doing what we do best, looking out for each other.
