To provide the safest, efficient and most comfortable care for everyone, AMC are advising patients that all visits require a pre-booked appointment or telephone triage.

If you are unwell or require an appointment on the day, we ask that you please call our clinic on 8564 2266 to arrange a time before coming in.

This allows our staff to:
🔍 Properly triage your needs.
📅 Schedule a time that reduces wait times.
💝 Ensure the safety of all patients and staff.

Walk ins are difficult to manage as often our Drs are fully booked and you may be asked to go home and come back again. By calling ahead, you can wait comfortably at home until your appointment time.

⏰ If you have an appointment, please arrive promptly.
📞 If you require urgent care, please call ahead so we can prepare for your arrival.
🚑 If it is an emergency, please call 000.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Join us in welcoming Bridgette McKinnon, Resident Medical Officer (RMO) 👩‍⚕️ Bridgette will be a part of our team for the next 13 weeks whilst on her placement here at AMC.

"I grew up in the lower south east but moved to Adelaide to complete my studies. I attended Adelaide University and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery in 2024.

I have been working in the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network since graduation, mainly based at Gawler Hospital but occasionally venturing south of the city for some variety. I am commencing my hospital year of rural generalist training this year and will be working as a GP registrar from next year onwards.

My interests include procedural and emergency medicine and a bit of out of hours surgical assisting (frequently on the Gawler on call surgical assist roster for emergency caesarean sections).

Outside of work you will find me competing in triathlons and trail running events, travelling and participating in anything active, often combing the two where I can. I climbed Mt Kilimanjaro while in Tanzania in my graduating year and recently returned from a Ski trip to Japan."

International Childhood Cancer Day is a global collaborative campaign to raise awareness and promote an increased appreciation and deeper understanding of the challenges faced by children and adolescents with cancer, the survivors and their families. ICCD spotlights the need for more equitable access to treatment and care for all children with cancer, everywhere.

Every year, more than 400,000 children and adolescents below 20, are diagnosed with cancer. The rate of survival depends on the region, with 80% survival in most High Income Countries but as low as 20% only in Low and Middle Income Countries.

Together, on International Childhood Cancer Day, we raise our voices and envision the day all children and adolescent with cancer benefit from the best possible treatment, care and support regardless of where they live in the world.
