It is day 3 of the heat wave in Melbourne. It's nice to know our habitat garden is working well to provide fresh water, food and shelter during challenging weather. This little native noisy mynah bird (shown here) and other native birds have been hanging out at our bird bath pretty much all day today. The mynahs usually chase off other birds, but it's nice to see sharing when the heat is this bad.
As a reminder please leave fresh water and shelter out for animals ( native and your pets) in hot weather. And when designing gardens think about planting native trees for food sources, shelter, shade which we humans also benefit from.

I received this card for mothers day in 2019 just after giving birth to my second daughter. At the time I had a shih tsu Ruby who was very sick and we were so worried that she was not going to live much longer. It only occurred to me today that the dog in the card looks very much like our current doggie which we got much later in 2022. Maybe there was something more to this card than a dog with bed hair, not to mention eating breakfast in bed from a tray. ❤️🐶❤️

Taking some time out . This place is so impressive and very reasonably priced. In addition to many hot and cold therapy pools, there are loads of other things to do, plus a huge food garden.

It has been a long time coming, but I can finally say i can now sail a boat competently. Over a decade in the making, and there have been a few hiccups along the way. Never give up on the goals you make. Finally, the time will be right for it to happen. I have my next sailing goal set, I can't wait. ⛵️⛵️⛵️

Not every morning in the same at my local beach. I'm not sure what happened to this poor swan. Looks like it was washed up with the recent storms and may have provided dinner for some animal. A glimpse into the cycle of nature.
