There is something powerful that happens when families are invited into spaces of healing.
In Guatemala, children are welcomed as part of the fabric of life.
They are respected, included, and held in a way that many of us never experienced growing up.
And simply by being here — on this land, within this culture, in the presence of ceremony — they receive more than we could ever teach them with words.
My elder teacher, Nana Rosalia, always reminds me:
“Children need to be in these spaces. Even when it looks like they aren’t listening, they are receiving what they need.”
And it’s true.
Some teachings move through presence, not instruction.
Through the way a mother experiences healing.
Through the way the land holds us.
Through being near elders who honour them.
This year, for the first time, our retreat venue — Casa Paloma — makes it possible to bring your family with you.
There are a small number of private casitas with their own kitchen and bathroom, offering enough space for children and partners to settle while you immerse into the work.
Children won’t be in the learning spaces and will need a dedicated adult with them,
but they are welcome to join our traditional Mayan meals and closing fire ceremony with our Ajq’ij spiritual guides
a deeply meaningful experience for any family to witness.
While you learn, your family can explore the lakeside villages, swim, rest, and take in a culture that still lives in connection with land and lineage.
Opportunities like this are rare.
And they’re truely life changing.
Future retreats may not be able to host families in this way.
We have only a few casitas available. If you feel the pull to bring your family, it’s important to book early.

This isn’t just a journey for you.
It becomes a transformation your whole family will carry.
