When I have families coming through saying you saved our marriage I feel extremely blessed. When they thank me for having a relaxed child back again I feel blessed. People that feel less stressed, cope better in stressful situations and can have better sleep or much less pain…. These things reaffirm why I love my job.
I see newborn babies that have been born prematurely, had NICU stays and have a lot of issues already in their tiny lives. Seeing these babies heal is what makes my workday!
A more settled baby, better feeding and sleeping, increase on the percentile chart, constipation can disappear, so can reflux or colic and more.
All throughout life, starting in the womb we can collect and store blockages that remain with us and cause unwanted symptoms unless we remove them. These are caused by physical, emotional and chemical stress.
The birthing process can cause all three of these. Being born can cause a physical stress on a tiny newborn baby. Throw in forceps, C section etc and they add up. Emotional stress and trauma can begin storing in utero with stress being felt through the mother. Being born into a loud cold environment stores more emotional stress. And the use of medications to induce birth, C section delivery etc can cause chemical stress on the baby as well as mum. So with all of these things adding up you can quickly begin to see why newborns can seem unsettled and unhappy from the get go.
