Our teams are busy prepping for an exciting weekend providing medical support for the athletes at the UFC this weekend.

SETS, Safety Direct Solutions and Perth Medical Volunteers are proud to be working together once again to provide medical support to the athletes at the UFC Fight Night in Perth next weekend.

We are excited to continue the collaboration between the companies and further strengthen our partnerships delivering comprehensive care at world class events.

Sunday was a wild, windy day for our team at the Bloody Long Walk 2025 supporting participants along the 35km walk from start to finish.

All of the participants, supporters and volunteers deserve a huge shoutout for making it through the day.

Our very first Member Spotlight features one of our amazing volunteers - Chloe, giving some insight into her journey at PMV.

Our volunteer medics are the heart of PMV, making up a large part of our organisation and the teams which attend events. This month, we are showcasing and celebrating the vital work which our volunteers do at events to keep our communities safe.

This week our medics had lots of fun getting hands-on at our Motocross CPD Training Night.

Training was targeted to motocross specific emergencies and the night ended with a mass casualty scenario ran by our training department and Safety Direct Solutions - SDS RTO #51632 Paramedics Bruce and Nathan.

Everyone who attended got the chance to learn new skills and refine current ones, to ensure we are always providing the highest level of care, no matter what situation we are in.

It was all things rugby this week at PMV!

Our team had a great weekend down in Bunbury supporting the Rugbywa NAIDOC Bunbury 7s Tournament.

Last night we held a rugby-specific Continuing Professional Development training session to update and enhance our skills and knowledge of common rugby injuries. We were lucky enough to have Raj, the Competitions Coordinator from Rugby WA come down and speak to the group as well.

We are always proud to support community sports and at PMV we always strive to provide the best clinical care to all of the players, spectators and officials.

Today we appreciate the paramedics across the world who show up for the community every day, bringing calm to others’ chaos.

At PMV, we are grateful to work alongside Safety Direct Solutions Paramedics at high risk events. Their skills and mentorship are priceless to our volunteers and the community they serve.

To those paramedics working on road, at events, or behind the scenes, we thank you for your dedication, leadership and hard work.

And to all of our aspiring student paramedics - keep doing the amazing work you do! We are grateful to be part of your journey and we are excited to watch you grow into confident, skilled paramedics.
