Happy 1st Birthday to beautiful Jordan 🎂💛

This gorgeous girl is now one, and full of life! Energetic, independent and always chasing after her older siblings, she’s already showing so much personality and spirit.

It’s been so special to be part of this family’s journey across multiple pregnancies, and to now see Jordan thriving one year on.

Seeing what you longed for, what you expected to hold, nurture, or bring home, can reopen wounds you are still learning to carry.

Sometimes, even the simplest moments can bring a wave of emotion.

At Western Obstetrics, we understand that coming into our rooms can be difficult, seeing photos of families, or being surrounded by pregnant women and newborn babies.

If there is anything we can do to support you during this time, please let us know. We are here to help.

To anyone carrying this kind of pain, you are not alone. Your feelings are valid. Your coping strategies are valid. And you deserve compassion, from yourself and from others, as you move through this journey at your own pace.

Welcome to the world, Piper June 🩷

Little Piper made her arrival in the most calm and beautiful way, supported by the safe and steady hands of Stuart Prosser. Her Mum, Montanta, shared how grateful they are for the care they received from the whole team during such a special moment.

A special shoutout as well to our wonderful admin, Claudia, who was part of Piper’s journey as a Student Midwife, and there to help welcome this gorgeous little girl into the world.

💡 DID YOU KNOW?
Cooked liver is one of the best iron rich first foods, but it is also very high in vitamin A. While vitamin A is also a critical nutrient for babies, we don't want to give too much of it for smaller babies. Use a variety of iron-rich food sources and aim for not more than 1 teaspoon cooked liver, 2 x times per week.

This little cutie checked in at Western Obstetrics today but seems to have been accidentally discharged without their grown-up!

They’re safe, well cared for, and enjoying plenty of cuddles at reception, but they’d really love to be reunited with their best friend. 💛
