Money stress is something many of us experience — whether it’s rising costs, job uncertainty, or the pressure of keeping up with everyday expenses. Over time, it can weigh heavily on our sleep, our mood, and how we cope day to day.
If you’re feeling the strain, you don’t have to go through it alone.
Our Financial Counsellors offer free, confidential support to help you understand your options, manage challenges, and regain control. They can provide guidance, advocate on your behalf, and work with you toward a more stable future.

We are incredibly grateful to local artist Andrew Duffin for creating this one-of-a-kind piece for the Ocean Rockpool Tour which is up for auction now. Valued at $3,500, this 1200mm x 800mm art piece would look great in a loungeroom or boardroom.

Talking to a young person about their mental health can feel daunting, especially when you want to say the right thing.
Remember, you don’t need to have all the answers. What matters most is creating a space where they feel listened to, understood, and supported.
Small, thoughtful choices in how you listen and respond can make it easier for a young person to open up and can help them feel less alone in what they’re going through.

As you may already know, the Lifeline network leads the way in providing crisis support and su***de prevention services to Australians in need, 24/7. Our organisation is unique in the fact it has a national reach, but a local approach – with 40 centres around the country delivering services to their immediate areas, including our own.
Lifeline Northern Beaches was established almost 50 years ago to serve the area stretching from Kirribilli to Palm Beach (for more info on our area, click here). We’re an independent organisation with a local Board, a small number of salaried staff, and over 600 volunteers, who provide invaluable support. Lifeline Northern Beaches is also a Public Benevolent Institution, registered with the Australian Charities and not-for-profits commission.
WHAT WE DO
At Lifeline Northern Beaches our primary purpose is to provide quality telephone and in-person support to relieve the distress caused by crisis situations. Our services include:
· 24/7 Telephone Crisis Supportvia our national service
· Face to face counselling
· Financial counselling
· Support groups(including those for grief & loss, depression, and many other issues)
· Training on specific topics, such as ASIST (Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training)
· Shops where the local community can donate goods for re-sale, with the profits going to Lifeline
· Events that engage the local community and enable us to raise funds
WHAT DRIVES US
We’re here to support people going through a wide range of difficulties, from anger, anxiety and depression, to family, relationship and financial problems. Our aim is to connect these at-risk people (and their families) with the right resources to help them through.
We create connection with people in crisis and empower individuals and communities to be safe from su***de.
