🔵 Do you have Hip or Knee Pain / Osteoarthritis (OA)?

🟡 Our Clinicians Lauren (Accredited Exercise Physiologist) and Jess (Physio) have been working hard to upskill their OA intervention skills and are now GLA:D® certified.

🔵 GLA:D® Australia is a not-for-profit initiative led by La Trobe University.

🟡 The GLA:D® Australia program consists of:
- An initial appointment to explain the program and measure your current functional ability
- Two education sessions which teach you about OA, its risk factors, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
- Group exercise sessions twice a week for six weeks to improve your control of the joint, your confidence in the joint and your strength
- A review at 3-months with your clinician to discuss progress and goals, and re-measure your functional ability
- Completion of a questionnaire on registration with the program, and then again at 3 and 12 months after registration to measure changes in areas such as pain, function, quality of life, and medication use.

🔵 Meet Jess, our dedicated Physiotherapist who graduated from ACU Ballarat with her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2023. Jess is well known to the MCPhysio community, contributing to the practice for 3 years as a Physio intern and patient services team member prior to beginning her Physiotherapy role. Jess brings a wealth of knowledge, energy and experience to the practice.
🟡 As a proud Ballarat local, she is strongly committed to providing professional, friendly and high-quality care to our community. Jess’s physio knowledge allows her to provide skilled care for general injuries, sports related problems, paediatric (kids) injuries and post-op rehab. She is continuously passionate about empowering her patients to live strong and pain-free lives.
