Yes...not every plan unfolds the way you hope it will.

After much anticipation and effort to bring you my new collection before Christmas, things took an unexpected turn. The company producing my packaging stated that despite ordering in August (swipe) I must shoulder an additional 50% production cost increase, and weather production delays due to errors on their end 🫠

After much internal debate, dialogue and prof advice, I've cautiously proceeded, but the collection will be delayed until 2026, and I'm so sorry for this.

It’s been disheartening on a few levels. Even though this business isn’t my livelihood, I still care deeply about doing things well wherever I can - dotting the i’s, crossing the t’s, and creating something that feels thoughtful and beautiful!

I’d rather wait and bring you a collection that’s truly worth the burn ✨ than to rush something that doesn’t feel right just to meet the Christmas rush.

So stay tuned!

I'm hopeful that despite this moment of disappointment, the next chapter will be worth celebrating - when it all comes together in 2026 🥳

🤹🏽‍♀️ Phew...Ever have those seasons where there’s just no extra “fat” in the schedule? Where every minute feels accounted for? ⏰

That’s been me lately - between major home renos, time in ED, church camp, and Shane working long hours in and out of Melbourne, life’s been full (and very real!).

Naturally Simple Retreat and the gram have had to take a little backseat while I navigate all of life’s bigger (and sometimes unexpected) priorities - something I've learned to be okay with.

So today will involve a moment to slow down, light a candle, make a tea, pray and breathe - even just for 10 minutes - before the to-dos begin. ✨

1. Bring the outside in - fresh flowers or a sprig of greenery on the dining table.

❤️ Don’t "burn the candle at both ends"...🕯️Last night, despite efforts to set a 20-minute nap alarm at 8pm… I slept through the alarm and woke up hours later 🤦‍♀️

With Mila’s night feeds and two energetic boys home on school holidays, slowing down isn’t always easy - so I think my body just claimed the rest it needed.

When I share reminders to pause, breathe, and enjoy a simple retreat, know that I’m speaking to myself first. I’m learning (sometimes the hard way!) that rest is not a luxury - it’s essential. ✨

📚 Not your everyday small business story...⬇️ 5 fun BTS facts about the making of Simple Retreat candles:

1️⃣ Each gift box design was born out of *hundreds* of WhatsApp messages 📲✨. I’d sketch out the concepts, and my talented friend Meryl brought them beautifully to life. Both of us were stay-at-home mums at the time, so WhatsApp became our creative studio - every detail was shared between nap times and daily chaos 😂.

2️⃣ So close, yet so far...thousands of my ceramic jars got stuck at the customs for weeks 😬. Thankfully, with the help of my freight forwarder, we finally got them through - but yikes.

3️⃣ I use only 100% natural soy wax. (Fun fact: not every “soy candle” is truly soy - many blend paraffin 🚫).

4️⃣ Every wick is matched to the jar diameter to ensure an even, clean burn from top to bottom. (Fun fact: wicks actually burn to different diameters 🤓).

5️⃣ I tested over 100 fragrances to curate my current range! Why? To ensure there is at least one beautiful fragrance suitable for every mood, person and occasion 🩷

Lots went into this candle range, with the return of many lessons learned and a heap of fun, creative adventures!
