Hi I am Marissa 👋🏼

I am a huge advocate and passionate about holistic modalities and medicine. Graduating high school I always wanted to study Natropathy or Chinese medicine (TCM is still on my list). I knew that healing your body naturally is important. Many many years ago that’s what we did. We lived off the land and had herbal remedies for health and sickness and trusted the body’s natural abilities to heal. I was a gymnastics and netball coach and that lead me into my teaching degree.

I fell pregnant with both my children. I followed my own intuition and kept my body aligned and healthy during pregnancy by seeing Dr Tahli Gibson a chiro/kinesiologist. My first session with her I was absolutely blown away. (I will share a few stories later that will blow your mind). I knew that my intuition was as telling me when the time was right I would study again and that it would be a healing modality.

The past couple of years I have had some big life events. Early last year my body was screaming at me anxious, and HUGE panic attacks whilst driving in the car (I would pretend that I was ok but really I wasn’t.) A doctor tried to suggest anti depressants.
I knew I needed to turn inward and see where the fear, panic, anxiousness was coming from. I had a gone back to my kinesiology sessions and decided the time was right to study again.

Whilst studying kinesiology I had found Spinal Energetics and had this fire in my belly again to learn more (True Aries. After having a few sessions I realised that I had so much unprocessed emotions I was hiding and running from. I just felt so unworthy and betrayed and that I would never be good enough 💔😭 I was in a good headspace with myself and my children but my body was holding onto emotions, memories and feelings of the past.
THE BODY ALWAYS KEEPS THE SCORE!

I am finally on the path that I knew I always wanted to be on as a Kinesiologist and Spinal Energetics practitioner. I am nervous, excited for this next chapter but I want to help others regulate, be aligned and know they are worthy. The Carrm State does just this!
