🏆 Confident Cubs Program 🏆
Last week our Confident Cubs explored the theme of Winning & Losing — inspired by Pig the Winner by Aaron Blabey 🐷✨

We practised:

Kids and Cubs Clinic have been bringing Confident Cubs, our speech pathology incursion program, to local daycare and preschool centres throughout 2025.

This dynamic program offers onsite, play-based early intervention and educator upskilling, all designed and led by speech pathologists from our team.

Confident Cubs is designed to support your centre’s students by:

🧩 Strengthening social and emotional skills
🔤 Developing pre-literacy foundations

How do we use LEGO in speech and language therapy?

Lego is a fantastic MOTIVATING activity we can use to support both speech and language development. We can:

🟦 learn to follow instructions and sequencing terms
🟨 develop concepts and vocabulary: size, shape, colour, texture
🟦 improve sentences and their structures: requesting, describing, story telling
🟨 use as a token reinforcer for speech sound therapy
🟦 enhance pretend play ideas
🟨 support turn taking and joint play

🌟 Helping children identify and label emotions is a powerful life skill that takes practice. Through fun, play-based activities, we can build their confidence in talking about feelings and supporting their classmates.
