Sanctuary … my bedroom is one of my favourite spaces in our home.

A place I not only sleep in, but relax, perform my morning rituals and often cuddle up with a book or magazine in.

It’s not a big space, but I don’t mind. It smells lovely because I nearly always have one of our diffusers going, all my emotional and hormone support essential oils are on my dresser, the bedsheets have been washed in our non-toxic laundry liquid and often spritzed with one of my homemade mists.

The air is truly clean in here, as it is in every other part of our house. I started going low-tox for myself years ago, but now I continue this lifestyle for my families health.

Have you ever considered breaking up with what you believe to be that “clean” smell from your washing liquid or fabric softener? When your yoga mat is so comfy you chill out and read on it!

Since practicing yoga and Pilates at home during lockdown I hadn’t really been enjoying it. Then I fell over a few weeks ago and the enjoyment level became less again, as I was hurting using the mat I had. I wondered if part of the problem was my current mat.

I decided to buy myself a new mat from and the difference it’s made to my practice is amazing. It’s beautifully thick and soft and the pressure I used to feel on my knees and hands particularly is gone. I wish I’d invested in this mat long before now!

are also a small ethical and sustainable business ... I’m in love!! If you are in the market for a new mat for yourself or someone else I encourage you to look at their mats ~ it’s no nice to be enjoying my practice again 🙌

After meal prepping, cooking and doing “mum things” most of the day it was blissful to give myself a little spa moment ~ this foot soak is made up of warm water, magnesium flakes, calming essential oil and beautiful rose petals from my Dads garden ... full disclosure ~ I may have fallen asleep as I was so relaxed! Big love to my hubby for creating the space to let me rest (aka wrangling kids) ☮︎︎
