My kitchen tonight. Pastry first, Torta della Nonna from Old World Italian 💋 extras are the grilled plums from the garden, thick cream and muscat treacle. Main for a humid evening dinner was a golden sunshiny salad of roast veggies, inspired by another fave cookbook, Ripe Figs, and pimped up with Buffalo Halloumi from . Delicious if I say so myself ❤️🌿

Christmas Day has come and gone. As everyone knows, at the moment my photo taking skills seem to have slid by the wayside and I have been much more introspective about life. Ciao Firenze, this is a city that is both big and small. Easy to navigate yet easy to get lost. Feeling a little overwhelmed by life at the moment, definitely Alice down the rabbit hole. What do we take holidays for? Relaxation, Rediscovering ourselves, our place in the world, our relationships with ourselves and others, what makes us laugh, what makes us cry, what grounds us, what diminishes us. Growing or shrinking, travel changes our perspective of not only ourselves but others as well. As an Aquarian, water is my happy place, whatever the season. Introspection and reflection, self and cloud’s reflection is always a good thing. 24 degree’s on a Sunday afternoon in Greece in Autumn is fabulous.

Just another day in Potidea. Who would have thought you could have a hedgehog for a pet…only in Greece! Too cool for a swim today but heating up over next few days. Very pleasant afternoon, where a walk to the cemetery allowed us the pleasure of my favourite taste, masticha. Amazing smell when the berries are crushed between your fingers, even though it is the sap of the tree which makes it such a distinctive product. Wild carrot gone to seed is always Greece to me. ❤️🧿🌿

Beachside Greece. As before, no it is not Athens, no it is most definitely not Amorgos but it is beautiful in its own gritty way. Basic, end of season, very quiet with not much open but the sun is out and the water is warm. Definitely not CocoMat mattress though! Sexy husband sipping on frappe after a earlier swim. 5.30pm and 23 degrees. Greece we ❤️ you.

Nea Potidea, same same but different. Water is beautiful, temperature is 23degrees. Not many people about as it is low season, so also not much open. Is it Athens, no, is it Amorgos, no, but it is still beautiful in its own way. Gritty, sunny, basic and beautiful ❤️🧿

What a beautiful day for reflection. From sun light codes shining through the eucalyptus, to the ‘girl’s’ pecking around the garden. Blossom on the plum trees, white flowers of abutilon, stock and seaside daisy. Love to live by the seaside ❤️ plants are perfect, nature at its organic best, free form, not contrived.
